Pure speculation but I think 10-12 is being generous. Hooper already got 29 last season, that's as * near 30 as your are going to get. Then add Stokes 20 odd onto that... I would rather Samaras mate, he can do the exact same job but is more mobile.

Samaras does nothing like a Heskey job imo mate. That's part of the reason he's far better as a winger. He's tall, and has learned to win headers etc. but as far as being a big, strong, target man who can hold the ball up and lay it off with head and feet he's not that type of player :50:

Suppose this stuffs for another thread though :50:

Exactly........Heskey would guarantee Hooper scores another goal:50:

Clearly I am taking the * mate - wouldn't touch Heskey with a bargpole :56::56::56:

would still love this one to happen, unlikely though. Matt Mcglone said on twitter that he was told the free agent striker is not a name we would be aware of? How reliable is he because I'm not sure..

He certainly done that job against Helsinborg on Saturday mate but both of them aren't really strikers. Martin O'Neill always said that Emile Heskey was an attacking midfielder, played him in the same position he did Chris Sutton and even John Hartson at times.

Anyway, back on topic. Del Piero, I love him. Absolute hero, I may go watch his top ten goals on youtube and go have a *.

Mostly he was still out wide against Helsingborgs. He isn't a hold-up the ball player mate it's just not him. He's far more comfortable facing goal and running than back to it imo. Always has been and its just another reason he makes a far better winger than striker :50:

I've been having daydreams and all sorts about him signing for the past couple of days I know how you feel :icon_mrgreen: :56:

Not in the complete Heskey style, back to goal kind of thing I agree but Samaras being right up the top running the channels and offering an out everytime, taking the ball in and spreading it about was happening constantly. I know what you mean, I just don't think that Heskey is anywhere near what we need and his basic job that he does Sammy can even do from the wing.

Ooft tell me about it mate, my first memories of Scotland was waking up on a Sunday morning to the Italian football on Channel 4 and watching Del Piero, Nedved, Zidane, Batistuta... he's an absolute legend. Words can't explain how much I love him, he's close to Henrik Larsson for me and that's saying someting because anytime I see Henke with the Hoops on I'm close to tears!

I don't want him don't get me wrong. I'm just talking about his ability to play as a proper hold the ball up, back-to-goal target man compared to Sammy. :50:

I used to watch that too :56: James Richardson hosted it :icon_mrgreen: Aye he's - as you can imagine from my sig - behind Larsson for me as well :50:

he still has it and would be great to have him to look up to, not just for the strikers but for everyone at Celtic.

i just can't see it happening.
