    Yes please!!!!! One of my favourite players outside Celtic. Pure genius with the ball one of the best strikers I've seen.

    He would bring loads of experience, and chip in with a few goals.

    Forget Del Piero. We should be looking at guys with genuine quality, guys like Kevin Kyle or Francisco Sandaza.

    Good point about Drogba and you have probably watched Del Piero more than me in the last couple of years. I have watched him enough to know he wouldn't vastly improve the squad these days. I think we should be looking for players with two things at the moment, experience at a good level and the quality to really push this squad on. Del Piero only ticks the experience box for me.

    As much is it would great to see the legend in the hoops. I would pass.

    He ticks both the boxes for me. His footballing brain is head and shoulders abover anything we've had in the Scottish game since Henrik Larsson.

    Talking about that, Man United fans were saying the same thing about The King of Kings when he joined, they certainly didn't think that when he left.

    That is what Alessandro Del Piero could do for us. One of the most highly experienced players to ever play the game. Playing at the very highest level right up until last year.

    There aren't many players who have had more games than him in the Champions Leagur.

    My fave Juve player behind Roberto Baggio and all these hawf wits who say he's passed it you never lose yer vision and eye for a pass doesn't matter if hes 37 or 97 he'd still be the best playmaker at celtic if we got him this year and the type of player who were crying out for to make our team better......

    Nonsense. There comes a time when a player simply isn't an effective footballer any more regardless of his vision and eye for a pass. Freddie Ljungberg is a good example. Personally, I think Del Piero would still be immense for us but your point is still ludicrous.

    Cauld windy days out at Largs, all the fish suppers you can eat, getting yer car windaes put in by irate Sevconians, getting hoofed up in the air by footballing geniuses like Keith Lasley, plenty of pishing rain and getting to play on some of the muddiest pitches in Europe.

    Personally I can't see why he wouldn't come.
