I am going to stick my neck out and guarantee he will not sign for a premiership club.

most fan said he will do us good on here and when i was at games, he never did, robbie keane as well everyone said the league was won 65k a week for nothing when we got rid of skippy roy keane ect these so called big time players who would bring us something.... am just going with what i have seen with my own eyes with these players

how do you know delly will be a hit? people said the same thing about freddy bhoy like i said before i really don't see it why get him in for a season when we need a target man type? and pay him a wage of around 20k a week when that can be used to get someone else in?

There may be interest from England but doubt he will get a good offer from there. Arsenal and Spurs both have there priorities set on bigger transfers, especially spurs.

He obv still has ambition as well and would get next to no playing time with Arsenal signing Cazorla etc and Spurs with dembele and potentially willian and already having VDV

Del Piero is worlds apart from Robbie Keane and Freddie Ljungberg. And, as has been said, Ljungberg was past it when we signed him, Del Piero isn't.

Really? if a prem team is intrested they can give him a bigger pay day than us also spurs have just said they can't pay 20 odd million for players on SSN just now

Course I do but that's not clouding my judgement with his ability to shine.

And his wage demands are already well known. Around £20k a week. He's not a greedy footballer even someone who doesn't watch Italian football should know that by now. He stayed with Juve during the farce that was calciopoli and relegation to Serie B. He also took a severe wage cut to stay with them a year longer than his contract was.

You don't know that, that sounds like a comparison to Ljungberg tbh. It would be a mistake to bring him here if that was the case admittedly. But then again that's a decision for the management.

As for Del Piero going to Australia, apparently the idea has been rejected. 'Too far away' is the reason noted.

    Hope that's true

To be fair to Robbie Keane, he was class when he was here. Clearly a step ahead of every defence mentally.

And again, he is not Ljungberg. There is no comparison to make between their situations ffs.

so you saying signing robbie keane when we did and signing a 37 nearly 38 year old is worlds apart? really? i think you will be the only one thinking that fella so are you saying a 37/38 year old del piero was better than a 28/29 year old robbie keane? madness

and like i said how many people said freddy was doing to add this that and the next thing for young players.......

Robbie Keane had a superb scoring record while he was here in a terrible team so he wasn't a failure. I just lost all respect for him when he could have taken a wage drop and moved here rather than going to live in LA. Dont forget that Ljungberg was already in MLS before he even came here and was terrible at Arsenal before he went there.

I'm not saying he is still at his peak lol, but he still played 31 games last season for Juve and from what i seen of them last season he was still playing great in Serie A. Says it all that Juve fans wanted him offered a new contract and the same cant be said for any of the above that you have mentioned. Plus he was better than any of them as well

Why we comparing him to Robbie Keane?...Keane scored 17 (roughly about that) goals in half a season with a * team, so comparing him to keane to make out keane was * and past it is ludicrous.

Anyone saying he's past it, even watch seria A?.... Personally i dont, but he must be doing something right to play 30 + games for a league winning side

but we won nothing with keane and that's my point everyone was saying he will do this and that

and the same with freddy bhoy people where saying oh he will add to us load teach the younger players ect, like everyone is saying about del piero

is it not the same when everyone is saying how much he can teach our younger players? i think it is

i think del piero was class a good few years ago love him really but i really don't think this is the right move for celtic at all

A simple yes/no poll on this thread would be good. I suspect it'd me an overwhelming majority in agreement that he is worth it though. :50:

The reality is the SPL is not Serie A.

    He will breeze it.

Del Piero and Hooper up front with Commons just behind them = Intercourse :50:
