    And yet look how our loan deal with FF worked out.....

    If we did more loan deals with right to buy we would have less * dead wood around the club that naw * wants to buy.

    Get a player for a year and see how he settles in and then buy him...makes sense to me.

    I'm glad its a loan. What is the problem with loans with an option to buy? It makes perfect sense in our case. Wish we had Balde on a loan first, would have saved a couple of bucks, or Derk. If he's good we'll buy him, if he's * no harm done.

    In fairness, Villa are actually quite a decent sized club even though they have struggled for a while now. Still have a big fan base and an excellent stadium. 'Smaller' in most aspects yes but compared to the likes of Fulham, Stoke etc a much bigger club.

    If he needs to impress his EPL team then he will put in the effort.
    If that gets us into the CL group stages and possibly further then get him in.

    Far too much negativity surrounding him IMO, remove his Villa career which has been fairly non existant he's a good player.

    What he is though, is a natural winger and we are lacking them.
