    Or maybe, just maybe, Ronny actually speaks to people within the scouting department asks for recommendations on players who may fit in to his style and who is available and actually has a look at them himself before deciding to go for them

    He identifies the type of player he wants,the scouting team then bring back a list of players and they sit and work there way through them that is what happens yes.

    I wonder when our posters realise that every signing we are likely to make are not to be of top drawer or the first name on anyone's wish list . We in the SPL a small league in a colder wetter climate with little or no funds compared to money rich EPL . We are not going to sign star players . We can buy players and make them stars or we can make them from our academy . We cannot buy them .

    Yes I am serious. You don't seem to understand how a scouting system works even though it has been explained a few times in the media exactly how it works. Lets go through the basic steps again:

    • Ronny identifies a position that needs strengthening.
    • The scouting team gives him a list of players that they have been tracking for that position.
    • Ronny prioritises who he would like.
    • Lawwell does the negotiating.

    We have the same scouting team so the suggested players will be the same. There is no conspiracy to be found here. What interest would Lawwell have in choosing players? Why would he do that?

    Do you think managers travel the world looking for talent? No. Ronny was not tracking Tonev, because managers do not track anyone. They manage the team.

    Exactly - we've obviously looked at him before, the scouts have shown Ronny some vids, stats or whatever they've recorded and he's agreed that's who we should buy for whatever position.

    Yup. Don't know what is hard to grasp about it. Constantly seeing things like "another Lawwell signing :47:". It's mental, any excuse to get on the guys back :56:
