    He's probably better than Boerrigter but its just quite underwhelning considering he turned us down and has been utter * for Villa. I would have preferred it if we had some newer targets this time around.

    jesus he knocked us back blah he cant get a game for villa blah . If the manager thinks hes a guy can fill a spot for him then I welcome him if this is true but so far its paper talk but lets try stop the trash talk its nonsense if ya don't rate him or any other player fine but be reasonable please

    Petrov's maybe been on to him about the better quality of burger vans up here and that might just seal the move.

    Quick and good with both feet, decent delivery into the box but a bit too lightweight maybe? Anyone will do at this stage, but i'm sure Tonev can open teams up and win free-kicks. Just not sure about his defensive game.

    Ive been told from my mate who works in CP thats theres a strong "Rumour being said amongst staff" that were looking at Tonev, Steven Fletcher and Kim Bo-Kyung.. Just saying what i was told. Probs * but never know.

    I wanted him when we were close to getting him last year. Won't judge him on the basis of appearances in a dreadful villa team. Looks quick, comfortable on the ball and two-footed.

    Regardless of whether he's a dud or not, if he did reject us for Villa last season that should be reason enough not to sign him.

    Tonev looked a good player when we were linked with him before he went to Villa. Has struggled to fit in at Villa and didn't really get a chance there. I would take him on loan and see what he has to offer. Pretty sure he won't have just lost the talent he had.

    We do have a bit of money to spend now but do you honestly think there is a huge queue of quality players who want to play in Scotland. As for Tonev knocking us back lets look at it this way Premiership down south or SPL. Think for any player the Premiership wins and that is why we couldn't keep Forster in the first place.

    I assume that he is not a diehard Celtic fan so the fact that he chose more money and the EPL last year does not bother me.
    Plenty of players have done badly at one club and been successful elsewhere. Presumably, RD has identified him as a target - and I will give him the benefit of the doubt till proven otherwise.

    I wouldn't say he is pish. When we were linked last year I seem to remember people were desperate to get him, just had a hard time at Villa. I'd take him.

    Regardless, it's not exactly what I was expecting. Another loan signing, are we actually going to buy someone.

    Another thing I've noticed is people having a pop at Berget already. For * sake the guy has played 1 game for us when every player in the side underperformed massively. He was also thrown straight in when he shouldnt have been.
