From comments RD made previously I think he likes Tonev or at least thinks he has the potential to play the way RD wants to play. Maybe impresses in training but yet to see much of it in a game although his racist charge maybe effecting his performances.

The SFA have upheld his ban, he's still banned for 6 more games after already sitting out of 1.

Appeal has been turned down. 7 game ban stands!!

Deemed a racist on "the balance of probabilities".

Hope they release the information which lead to the decision.

So now the appeal is over, will we get the explanation as to how they came to the decision?

Banned on the "balance of probabilities"

Basically means they know sweet * all but decided to ban him anyway to make an example of him. Absolute joke. * the SFA.

    http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/...ar-tonev-fails-in-appeal-against-racism-ban/?

Edit: No exaggeration to say they have stained the guy's reputation for life. I'm reeling over this. We're not going to miss him on the pitch, let's be honest, but this is outrageous.

What a joke! One guy's word against another. Would never have been found guilty in a court of law. We should take this further

It's alleged he said to Logan "don't touch me you black c***". As far as I know it's still one man's word against another, if that's the case then I imagine celtic will take the case further.

Tonev should take the SFA all the way to court.

I'm pretty sure Celtic already said if the ban was upheld it would be taken to court. The SFA will be shown up as the incompetent * they are if it does.

Where's Hearts and Rangers fines for their fans sectarian and racist songs?

totally agree with all this, absolute shocking and disgraceful decision...now its opened it up to a free for all on everyone.....they can all get banned and have a life changing stigma attatched to them, and they might not have said a word...

even if it was a motherwell player, aberdeen or * cowdenbeath, its utterly * disgusting thats its as easy as "he called me a N*****" and you are finished...

If there was evidence of it then he deserves to have career finished, and near family disownment....im all for that..

The SFA have opened up a can of worms and ill stick by Tonev until such evidence is proven....i am not disowning my player over the SFA

Celtic said before that they could take the case to CAS.

They should too, it's a joke. There's no room for racists in any walk of life, but surely there has to be proof...

"In criminal cases, the burden of proof is placed on the prosecution, who must demonstrate that the defendant is guilty before a jury may convict him or her. But in some jurisdiction, the defendant has the burden of establishing the existence of certain facts that give rise to a defense, such as the insanity plea. In civil cases, the plaintiff is normally charged with the burden of proof, but the defendant can be required to establish certain defenses."

How can that * Logan have proved it when there were no witnesses to this despite fans, players and ground staff as well as referee and linesmen being on field of play.
The whole Aberdeen squad as well as referees should be called as hostile witnesses in this case when it goes to court.
The fact that his own team mates never heard a thing should be enough to exonerate Tonev.
