I think your intelligent enough to know why someone being called a black * is not acceptable and should not be tolerated. The only thing in this case that would be worse than Tonev being racist. Was if Logan was telling lies and using his skin colour to slander another professional!

It's the history behind it mate, racism is a real, tangible problem. It has in the past, and still to this day, caused a whole lot of discrimination. Insults regarding colour of the skin are just the tip of that iceberg and should be clamped down on

Of course, I fully understand that it's not acceptable, I'm merely pointing out the slight differences between two form of insult and how much of it is about context and general stance on what is and isn't racism. Don't worry devlin I won't be out calling people black c*nts and using this point to make out I've done nothing wrong! I think racism is disgusting but my view on it is that being called anything, is merely a word and how you choose to react to it is down to the person themselves. If Logan was the kind of person who just brushed it off and wasn't offended by it (just as I wouldn't be in the slightest bit offended if a black guy called me a white *) then none of this would have came out.

I just think the word 'Racist' has a different meaning in everyone's mind, and it's used far too much and far too incorrectly imo.

If a black person called a white person a white *, would that be considered offensive? I think you'd get laughed at for reporting that.

    Have I defended him ?
I thought I was merely not condemning him without evidence , like some seem quick to do.

    Exactly.

There's a general idea of what is and isn't offensive, and we're told what you can and cannot say. Like you can listen to a Kanye song and he can say * as many times as he wants and sell it to you, but if I said * out in public somebody can choose to take offence to that and report me to the police. :97:

I'm just trying to understand why he would make the story up without there having been words exchanged between the players. Like everyone else is really. I've not claimed I can read minds.

It would be racism and, depending on the circumstance, a racially aggravated offence as well.

As to the "laughed at" bit that is pure biased supposition on your part.

I don't think you or anyone else really believes that calling someone a "black *" is simply "singling out somebody for a physical appearance" and dead on.

And if you genuinely do you need to take a look at why you think this.

As I have already asked though, what does anyone gain from saying racist slurs? Absolutely nothing, but it does happen. I'm just struggling to understand why Logan would make these claims if there wasn't something in it. That's not to say that Logan hasn't maybe misheard Tonev, but I would hazard a guess that words have been exchanged between the two. Whether they were racist or not, we might never know.

Whatever happens, I feel sorry for the innocent party in this, because the truth will be hard to prove either way.
