    It's really leaving a bad taste in my mouth that we appear to have been after this guy for most of the season, then suddenly Lambert and Stan - two of this club's all time heroes - have come in and hijacked the move at the 11th hour.

    Yeah, that's the thing though - they're not exactly 'doing their jobs', i.e. looking for signing targets of their own; they're on the blower to Neil then chasing our targets, it seems.

    As I said before all english teams just seem to take our players, think after Wanyama, Hooper etc they're afraid to miss out on any potential stars so just sign anyone we go for because they can afford to do it, anyway if this guy goes to Villa instead of us it shows the type ofn person he is and I can say it's highly likely that he will never play champions league football if he goes to Villa, plus he doesn't sound any better than Forrest

    It's widely reported that they've bid £3.5m. I personally actually have the feeling that he'll come here, given what he's said about the CL, and money not being everything; so I'm def not acting like he's already signed for Villa. However, I really don't like or much respect the way Lambert (and potentially Stan, with the Bulgarian link) appears to have gone about this one.

    It was widely reported the other day that they had accepted £2m for us.

    I doubt - even with Aston Villa basking in the wealth of English football - would bid an extra £1.5m when £2m was accepted :smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002:
