Albian Ajeti

Think this will be key for him, if we can sort out good wingers I think Ajeti's movement will improve and he'll be onto a 30 goal season. Everything crossed for the boy.

 

Great to see him on the scoresheet again. Even if it’s only a friendly, goals are what the likes of Ajeti feed on for confidence.

 

Encouraging signs for sure albeit early and only pre-season.

My Captain, hope he bangs in 25-30 this year

 

Wasn't in any way impressed with him last season, other than the odd flash, think he is starting to look the business.

 

I like the fact he looks like he's been trying hard to get his fitness in order and he looks like he puts a shift in but it all comes down to goals for him.

 

I liked him when he first came and thought he was going to be a great no 9, penalty box player then it all fizzled out. Bad management and lack of wingers definitely didn't help. I think his style of play - a finisher to get on the end of things suits us better than Eddy who's not the greatest at attacking balls put into/across the box.

 

Still have some doubts as he doesn't do loads outside the box in term's of linking up but he can finish in the box, no question..

 

Needs to step up big time if we are serious about challenging for trophy’s again. He will be our main man once Eddy leaves I think. We will prob buy another striker for 2/3m but will be a project as usual.

 

He will outscore Messi and Ronaldo combined this year. #baller

 

Defos have a good feeling about him this season. Think he needed the preseason

Just latching onto this point, but he definitely needs to improve outside the box.

Not judging him on not scoring today as we essentially lost our creative players.

 

He's so slow man..

Literally turns in to trouble whenever he tries to take his man on. Usually the wrong option more often than no. Link up play is non-existent..

He isn't a main striker for us. I really believe we need much better..

 

On the one hand I'd agree, but on the other hand we had no wingers for the majority of this game and Ralston/Taylor as our full backs, essentially zero creativity.

We need another Striker either way, but I dont think we'll see any until Edouard is sold

 

I've been one of the loudest shouters on here about our lack of pace..

He can't be our front man if we're playing guy's like Taylor, Ralston, Turnbull etc. He us painfully slow..

We can argue that if he had rapid pace he'd be a different player but I don't see it. Naturally quick wide men who can beat men and deliver ball's can offer it on a plate for any striker. What I see from him overall, is nowhere near good enough to be our number 1 or 2 striker's..

 

He is too slow to be the main striker.

He will do well in the league as teams defend deep in scotland against us and hes decent at getting shots away.
