Give this guy a run and under a decent manager he will thrive. Reminds me a little of Hooper.

It doesn’t seem to stick with Morelos, * dives all over the place, stamps on players constantly, throws out his huffy wee elbow on players and if someone looks at him the wrong way or dares to question him, it’s play the “ racial abuse “, card pish

This citation is a complete joke.

That being said, Ajeti has been guilty on numerous times (despite only having a brief amount of games this season) of blatantly diving about.

I don't get how diving for a penalty gets you a 2 match ban. It is a yellow card offence, not a red card.

I may have missed it in a Lennon interview (trying not to listen to him this week), but have the club actually came out to back the player yet?

On twitter, not a word seems to be said.
Nor ally the club(s) would release the citation as well and add on "we will appeal" or something.

They seem to be awfully quiet about something that there is blatant evidence it wasn't a dive (soft and maybe made it look worse).

Then we have * faces pal now calling it a dive as well?

    * off.

NEIL LENNON says that he couldn’t believe it when Celtic striker Albian Ajeti was hit with a simulation charge this week, but fully expects the forward to be cleared of all charges.

Ajeti was awarded a penalty against Kilmarnock on Tuesday night after going down under the challenge of Killie keeper Colin Doyle in the area, with Celtic going on to win 4-0.

He was then cited by the SFA on Thursday, but Celtic have lodged an appeal and the Swiss striker will play against Motherwell this afternoon.

His case will be heard in front of a fast-track panel on Monday, and Lennon is convinced that he will be cleared as there was contact between the players.

“He’s gone for the ball and the goalkeeper has made contact with his foot or his ankle, so he’s gone over and it’s a penalty,” Lennon said.

“If there’s no contact, I could understand the charge of simulation but there is contact. I was convinced at the time and nothing I’ve seen since has changed my mind.

“Looking at it in real time and looking at it slowed down, it’s not like he’s jumped away from the goalkeeper. Doyle has made contact with the back of his foot and his foot is inverted. It would have been quite painful.

“For me it’s a penalty, so where this charge of simulation comes from is absolutely beyond me.

    “I couldn’t believe when I heard he’d been charged.”

Lennon insists that he sees far worse incidents in matches almost every week going against his side.

“You see some of the other things that are going on around the country that we don’t make a big deal of,” he said. “I’m surprised but we’ll defend it as vigorously as possible.

“He’s just bewildered by it all. He just doesn’t understand why this charge has been brought.

“I certainly don’t understand where this one has come from because you can clearly see that there is contact.

“If you’ve got three [former] referees looking at that and they can’t see that there’s contact then I think it’s the referees that need to be looked at rather than anything else.

But we’re confident we can win the appeal.”

Lennon was asked if he believes the SFA try to balance such citations up between Celtic and Rangers, with the Ibrox side’s Kemar Roofe also charged yesterday for his tackle on St Johnstone’s Murray Davidson during the week.

“I have no idea and I don’t there should be balancing acts,” he said. “You either call it as it is or you don’t. That’s a question you’ll have to ask the SFA.”

He went down very easy but there was contact. It’s a disgraceful decision that he was cited when they manky * have got away with murder. Makes not a huge difference as we’ve been rank this season but this country disgusts me.

Watched the game on a stream today that I kept having to refresh every 2 mins, but would I be correct in saying that Ajeti was * poor today and didn’t really look interested? As I say, there’s a good player in there, but he’s been too inconsistent for us and plus he often looks as if he doesn’t give a *.

I thought he did well today. Never stopped running, and was unlucky not to score.

His finishing was pretty poor today at the start of the second half he could have had 2 or 3 goals but both with his feet and head his finishing was poor.

Na I'd say that's unfair, didn't light the world alight but wasn't *, had there been some more runs about coukd have lead to an assist or 2, unlucky with a couple efforts and I think his movement off the ball in the box was good, but when it doesn't leas to a goal it looks worse.

He will be a good player in a team. Coached properly

Was hoping for a bit more from him with his finishing today but just had an off day with the two decent chances he had this afternoon. Plenty of effort there though. Didn't understand taking him off unless it was fitness-related after playing 90 minutes on Tuesday. Thought it may have been better for confidence if he had been allowed to stay on and try to get that goal.

What can't happen now is for him to just be dropped because he didn't score. Feel this happens too often with fringe strikers. Ajeti played well enough and deserves to be in there for St Mirren on Wednesday.
