Do you think Deilas job will depend on the first few EL matches?

 

I think a bit of perspective is to be had, having seen the draw. We have two side's who many would consider better than us. If it was a group like last year and we failed to qualify this year, he'd be out, but because it's really tough, I think it'll be dependant on performances, not necessarily results..

Might not be dependant but will hold a big say, in my opinion when they weigh everything up to date..

 

Would absolutely love a draw but if we play like we have been lately ie: midfield dissappearing and shambles of a defence I can honestly see us being on the end of a 3-0 scorline.
Having lived through the 90s I'm usually quite upbeat about the Celtic of today but this side we've assembled just doesn't fill me with any optimism at the moment, hopefully that'll change, starting this week.

 

I will be looking more towards the performances themselves than whether we qualify or not. If we put in 6 decent performances and manage 7+ points and just about fail to qualify then I don't think it'd be the end of the world. I think there will need to be certain amount of improvement as the group goes on to restore that bit of faith in Ronny as a manager in Europe, because it would be unreasonable to expect us to get off to a flyer. If we get pumped the whole way through then I will seriously start to be worried.

A positive performance and result on Thursday would be great because this place has been depressing lately.

I honestly think if we were to take a bit of a hammering on Thursday, which I'm worried about if truth be told, then I think there will be a lot of pressure on him from the fans. The thing is, I can't see us conceding an less than 3 on Thursday, our defence is shocking.

 

I've got the same feeling, they'll want to redeem themselves...surely.

 

Personally think this will be a 1-4 mauling. Come at a really bad time and looks like it'll only add to the intense pressure already being put on the team.

 

Ajax are 10/11 to win,honestly thought they would be around 1/2,think the professional gamblers will have a field day with this one.

I think we're in for a long night in Amsterdam as although Ajax aren't as good as the used to be they are still good. Really do believe we will get beat 3 or maybe 4 nil but wouldn't rule out wee griffy to beat there defence and score one. Our defence is a liability and can't even defend a set peice.

 

Always hope! But fear a pumping on this occasion!

 

The idea of typing a suggested starting 11 has just filled me with sadness and dread. They are a team i don't even know anymore . Have been ripped apart , sold and rehashed together on the cheap. Just gunna hope for the best on thursday but at this stage i'm very worried about the SPL so this may be an unwelcome distraction .
