    The only cause for optimism I can find going into this game is that I watched Ajax when they played Rapid Vienna and they looked very ordinary. The problem is so are we.

    I hope he doesn't throw the Croat straight into a game like this. He's no kicked a ball for us and has been training with the team for a week.

    All the makings of a disaster.

    He signed for us in Paris, where he did his medical etc, Thursday was the first day he came to Glasgow. So by the time of this match he will only have met the manager and team mates for 7 days, 2/3 of which he won't have trained like on Thursday he got all his pictures took, done interviews and stuff so probably only met the players that day, Friday, Tuesday and Wednesday will be his only real days training with the players.

    Ronny done it before throwing in Berget when he had only joined us about 3 days before and it never worked out. To do it again would be a mistake.

    That would be my team for this game. Brown and Johansen aren't fully fit and are off form, so would be a good idea to put an extra midfielder in there.

    Keep Griffiths and Forrest in for pace on the counter with Johansen also in support.

    No idea why people have changed their tune since saturday. Ajax were always gonna pump us, were *- it's a sad reality. I hope the new CB starts, he can't be anyworse than the duds we currently have. That said, Ajax -3 is not going to be a bad bet.... depressing times
