Butch, would you quit slagging off our captain. Keep speaking such treason and you'll get yer head chopped!

Funny you mention the number of attacks, but as far as I recall, Brown was involved in a great many of our best results last season, that involved lots of goals. He doesn't stunt our movement.

I agree with everyone saying give Wanyama a chance, everyone else is saying the same as those who were winging after the first game in the Australian tour this year. Give the guy a chance, how do you expect him to develop if your gonna give a teenager abuse and be 100% negative about everything you have to say about him?
Pessimistic bhoys the lot of you.

Once he has been given a chance to adapt I will make comment, if he is good enough. Right now he has a lot of good attributes and has enough moments where he looks brilliant for Lenny to go for him. It's about Lenny getting the best out of him, which he has done with a couple of players who didn't do well under Mowbray, brought James Forrest into the first team who challenging for a 1st team place etc.

I know that Alex Ferguson said he was amazed at Hernandez' performances last year since he assumes a player outwith the EPL is a non-starter for 6 months, couple that with the fact he is young and your having a laugh saying he is not good enough after a couple of pre-season friendlies. At least gie him 6 months ffs.

I also seen you saying the same thing about one of the Twadrzik swins in Celtic chat and the same thing goes for him and all the other players who are just breaking into the first team, Give the them a chance. Stop being so negative. Your as much a pessimist as I am an apologist since that's what I'm inevitably gonna be accused of.

If you were talking about Maloney or Murphy or Loovens then fair enough.

You'll soon come to realize that Butch does nothing but speak negatively about Celtic in this forum and really only serves to be a nuisance.

Think we played well, consistent possession (imo) for the whole game and strikers looked on form especially in the final third.

Hail Hail. great post and couldn't agree more. the young Bhoys need to be nurtured, not having to deal with parting shots at every opportunity for some sectors of our ranks.

lol not true. Butch has some quality participation in most occasions. it's a shame he's blinded by his hatred of Brown though.

Superb post :50::50: Dissagree with the bit about Murphy, as he only played a handfull of games, so I still think he should get his chance :50:

watched the game yesterday and bored rigid for the vast majority of the game. first half was a very poor performance with spells of it we were 2nd best.
bit of improvement in the 2nd half but the 3 late goals are clouding peoples vision here. Now i know it wasnt full strength but didnt expect it to be and shouldnt have been.
it was a * game, with generally poor play in large parts except towards the end when they tired and lost their focus a bit. how folk are saying they were impressed is beyond me.
There are folk now saying where we can fit Murphy into the starting side now.:87:
the inter game the day before was a better display and better match though we came up short in certain aspects of our game.

Thanks for reading everyone and I'm glad most of the bhoys who posted after agree. I just feel its better to be let down than to be humbled with these young guys. To invest in their future rather than cash in when it suits. Think of the red neck the Rankers secretly get watching Charlie Adam.
we will always be the club who lifted the European Cup with a group of players who all grew up within 30 miles of the stadium and they will always be the club that tried to buy it with foreigners and other peoples cash. Don't forget it :shamrock:

Hail Hail, Murphy was more just an example as I know the opinion that he should leave exists in a percentage of the support.
I think he is a decent squad player who if given the chance would do a job. But I must admit I would free up his wages and collect the transfer fee if room was required to take a chance on another striker. But the same can't be said of Hooper, I reckon he will be banging in the goals for years to come in the hoops :celt_2:

Anyway, I didn't see the game, saw the highlights, but it will be a nice confidence boost for the players to have won by that much. Especially Hooper who looked a wee bit off pace against Hibs. It's always good to keep scoring as a striker, no matter how important the game. Can't wait for the Aberdeen game.

    Hail Hail
