He doesn't get a regular game for Ireland, we have a squad full of seasoned internationals. He isn't on a higher plain than what we have.

Aye he'd be a cracking addition and we need a winger but not one that is going to destroy morale because he's earning more than everyone else.

Not on a higher plain than what we have? I think you could safely say he's a better player than GMS, Forrest, Armstrong and Stokes who are our options for left wing.

Would he cost more than Bitton?

He isn't significantly higher quality than our current squad.

He would be the best player we have if he signed. So he would deserve the most money.

Of course he would, McGeady is an established player, highly experienced. Bitton isn't.

He has shown that he can do it consistently in the CL, Bitton hasn't yet shown he can do that in the Europa. He looks like he can be quality, he occasionally is. McGeady actually is quality.

    He's a finished article.

    I don't give a * what he's shown.

Bitton is worth more than McGeady in the transfer market. Undeniably.

Then how the * did we manage to get him for under a million?

As it was, I was talking about worth on the pitch, not on the balance sheet.

He is and has done it at a higher level than the majority of our squad. Who in our squad would get a game before him? Absolutely no one.

IMO he is of significantly better quality than our current wingers, it's not even up for debate in my eyes.

It'd be absolute madness to break the wage structure for a 30 year old winger.

The Everton fans would be laughing if we took him back.

My point is that he is the * of their jokes. He is massively out of favour and doesn't seem to offer anything.
So if we do take him then we're probably doing them a bigger favour than ourselves.

A think we would be improving the quality of our squad by signing him but I don't think McGeady fancies coming back to Glasgow

Personally, I'd love if we got McGeady back. So long as he is willing to take a pay cut.
If a player is willing to take a pay cut and come fight for the Celtic jersey then sign him up. We've seen too many players with opposite views, wanting a pay rise while not wanting to fight for the shirt.

Plus I think he is better than what we have in his position. I'd love to see an in form McGeady and Forrest tearing down both wings.

    Who cares. Honestly.

The opinion of EPL fans can't really be trusted. He hasn't done great with them but he obviously still has quality.

    We all know that.

If you don't think he would improve our squad then you're deluded...

I'd have him back, if he was cheap and took a massive pay cut.

And.....* what BPL fans think about us.

He needs game to start for Ireland in euros, take him on 6 month loan and pay 40% his wages with first call on buying him for 2.5 million
Would love him back in hoops as he plays for the jersey
