funny thing is i don't play the game lol

it's just a bit of a mix of players like you said verging from the impossible to those we can actually get but it would be great to see celtic show that type of crazy ambition.

for example the reason I mentioned Maierhofer is only because of the players we already got, as I imagine with players like Mulgrew, Juarez, Ledley, Maloney, Ki, Crosas and maybe just maybe Brown on a good day will be providing plenty of chances on a plate not to mention Sammy will be on the assist sheet also, some one like Maierhofer is 6"8 and strong so i feel will bag a good few goals as the SPL standards are lower then EPL and even the league Rapid play in.

Although going back to the verging on the impossible I'd much prefer the raw power and speed of Jones over Maierhofer

 

Kenwyne Jones? come on, get real. and as for Subotic and Adler, no chance! I totally agree with having ambition in our signings but you need to balance that with realism. Arsenal are rumoured to be looking at Adler and Subotic, I think they are firmly out of our league. As for Maierhofer though, I mentioned him a while back, we could get him easily i reckon. People are saying hes * but fact is, he scored for fun at Vienna, didnt settle at Wolves and fell out with McCarthy. could do a turn here.

As for Aiden, I dont see him starting the season with us. Its pretty clear that EPL is his preferred destination and I think if Aston Villa can bid upwards of 8 mill, celtic wil accept and he will move there. I think Russia would be a bad decision for him but would like to see him develop at Villa. Its time for a change and I think people should stop having a go at him. Rene Adler would cost £10 million at least same with Jones and N'Zogbia.

 

Liam Lawrence has direct replacment for 2m? 8m left to spend, doubt we will spend every penny so try go for Samba from Blackburn for 4m? Maybe 5m, being saying it for months, almost a complete carbon copy of Balde! Everything Balde has, so does Samba, dominant, great in the air, gets a few goals! Can even play him as a striker as he did for a few games at Blackburn. He naturally isn't exactly fast but he isn't ridiculously slow for a big defender, can't see any reason why he wouldn't leave a below average epl team to play in europe for us and to win trophys? With the remainder put a 3m bid in for Lee Wallace and bring in a experienced goalkeeper.

i doubt it very much ! id say we will buy him back in a couple of seasons for £2m. maloney is twice the player of mcgeady and he ended up back.

 

Maloney was never considered not good enough at Villa. He just never settled whatsoever. Kinda a headcase I guess

ill be honest i hope he does too. to me he just hasnt progressed since he was 17 and hes 24 now. not exactly a youngster anymore. i wish him well. but i can also guarantee there is no way he is going to moscow !! yes thats a guarantee. spain, england, italy or germany is the only 4 countries he will move to. all this moscow talk and him going over is just trying to speed everyone else into action..
