Awk he has went by far better than him in Europe over the years. I can actually remember Nesta applauding McGeady at Parkhead when he ran riot against Milan, and Nesta was one of the best defenders around!

yeah i mind that, then he gave puyol the run around in the 2-3 barca game aswell albiet puyol was out of his normal CB role.

Mate a know, almost every big teams players and manager compliments him, every manager in scotland double and triple marks him. Yet some people think he isnt that good.

 

yeah i see wenger bidding for him. infact i see all the top teams in the world are in for him. heard on sky sports news there that barca, real , milan, juve, man utd and chelsea have all just came in for him.

I don't think the question is whether or not he's a good footballer - he obviously is - but whether he's a useful footballer, which is an entirely different thing.

I don't think he's particularly useful. Remember last season when the fans were begging Mowbray to drop him?

Unbelievable to read some comments on here people sayin mcgeady is * an over-rated, these are the same people who dont realise what they've got until its gone, and if we lose him an have no one good enough to replace him the REALITY will hit home

NOT USEFULL!!! he had the most assists in the whole league last year along with davis, plus he scored 4 more than davis who won the POTY , thats useful, and dazza just cause none of europes elite are in for him doesnt mean he's *, silly logic.

 

I would expect him to have a high assist ratio considering all of our attacking play was targeted through him. He might have scored a few goals but not a lot for an attacking midfielder and tbh he must have one of the highest shots-off-target in the league.

 

Can someone tell me what the latest rumor is with AV? I'm assuming something has been rumored or reported since most of the talk here has been about Villa today? Was at work all day and don't see anything on newsnow quite yet...

 

The latest ones (from what I read) were surrounding Milner more than McGeady. Makes sense, it basically all depends on Milner's transfer to City. And they're mad, so I guess deal will be done in next few days.

Although, few other teams EPL (reportedly) are interested in him, although Moscow seems like his next destination.

 

that wasnt my logic. just answering another post who said that all the top managers applaud him. where are they all now he is up for grabs?? why does lennon not rate him even after playing with him for so long?? why are we so desperate to get rid of him when he has a few yrs left on his contract? so overated. dissapears in all the big games..... and even the * spl ones

 

he gets doubled up on every game and still has the most assists in the league, and theres a reason why most our play goes through him.
He had a better record than davis who was POTY and apparently last season was one if aidens worst.
It kills some fans on here to give him credit.
