It's too much it's worse than any other site I use, it's borderline unuseable at this point, in some threads an ad will completely block a users post with no way of getting rid of it, at least keep the ads to the side so we can read all the posts!.

True, its out of control. I feel like its by far the slowest website i've ever been on due to all the advertisements on this page the now there are 11 adverts ffs 12 actually theres a "sposored post" among the comments.
Actually its 13 as one pops up down the bottom you need to click off. -
Surely not the worst?
I'm using Tapatalk which helps in that regard and on the pc I run adblock(sorry admin). Can see at times there is 8-13 ads per page blocked.
But, I refuse to use sites like Celtic blog, videocelts or whatever nonsense they are - not only full of nonsense articles, but the ads on those sort of sites actually make it unusable, specially on mobile.
Can't properly load a page because it's trying so hard to load so many intrusive ads.

GM's don't have all those ads as far as I know....I certainly don't and I don't use an add blocker....nothing to do with being admin either....I get more as admin that what I did as a plain GM

tbh I can put up with the slow loading pages etc but ads that block an entire users post on a forum designed for discussion, surely that's going over the line, you can't even close them you have to go out of the thread and back in and just hope it covers a different post

When I used adblock it just showed big golden jobbies and the site was unviewable. I use tapatalk only now.

I'm assuming you're logged in when getting these ads? Post a screenshot of the ad you're getting that's obstructing a user's post.
Logged in users get ads that are barely visible, GMs get even less, so I genuinely can't understand the amount of moaning that goes on regarding them.Easter Rd Davie and Marie like this. -

It’s usually some * about a Samsung tablet. Another user told me he can’t even log in without an ad blocker, due to a betting advert that sprawls over half of the web page. -
Permanently blocking ads because of a few rogue ones is harmful to the site. -
Tbf when I have had issues & made you aware, including screenshots etc. You usually get it sorted pretty sharpish each time & that’s not blowing smoke up your *.
