Basically this year without the gold

This a typical complaint that doesn't appreciate how necessary this component of income is - we are all crying out to secure top level players and manager - that all has to be funded. Shirt income is a significant part of that. This post is essentially saying OK, just make a little money rather than a huge profit and 'reward' the fans - oh & with that it's OK to step down a notch even further behind in terms of securing players and wages; especially in a down year of revenue.

 

It likely would be a hit to income to some degree.
The same that knocking £100 off the renewal this year would be.

The point would be the gesture would be well received and the fans would likely in turn support the club in other aspects


If the home kit was to be used for a second year, those who don't already have it or likely don't buy one because of the price - are more likely to purchase one at £30 knowing they've a whole season worth of it.

Then folk who do want to buy the brand new top, would focus their attention to the away and third kit, which commonly sell less of. But with the fact these fans would already have the home top, they would likely be inclined to spend on the new aways

I'd be surprised if the gesture didn't have a positive reaction from the fans, making the perceived loss of no home top, nowhere near as drastic as folk would initially fear.
Because folk would appreciate the gesture and in turn be willing to then support the club again financially.


No one wants to see the club reduce its spending, wages, quality of player.

But guess what? That's happening anyway, even as the fans spend record amounts on the club anyway.

The answer to being * off at the board for taking us for granted can not be us simply continue to lining their pockets.
How else are fans meant to get their views across that they aren't happy being taken for granted, if the retort to this idea is fear that not giving them our money is that we are hurting the club?

The hoops are a little bit bigger then last seasons as well but as you say very similar. I am thinking I probably will get it myself.

 

Aye the rancid * are giving us a £50 voucher so may as well get it

A lot of thought must’ve went into that

 

We as fans could buy 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 strips and still the * in the boardroom would go for loan deals and prospects

I'm honestly hating the club right now. I don't want to give them money but the training gear is top notch. The clover just is a thing of class.
