Back up here to a prem club, did really well up in Perth

 

I agree to loaning him out again but he's running out of time to show he could offer something to our squad.

Currently failed to get regular game time at Fleetwood and didn't make any waves at Aberdeen or St Johnstone.

He needs a decent loan, getting regular game time and showing decent performances consistently.

 

He’s nowhere near good enough.

Probably right. My guess is when his Celtic contract ends at the end of next season you will see him signing with another lower level spl club and that is probably about what his level will be. Will be interesting to see if Celtic try and sell him next summer and get some money for him given he will be entering the last year of his contract.

 

Montgomery did us a turn Ange's first season. First few games, when I think he played on the wing, actually looked exciting. Did fine for his age and exposure to first team football after that too.

Bit like Scales the last 2 years, why not? Aberdeen and St Johnston he got reasonable game time for his experience. Let's see what happens next.

 

Because he’s not got much to his game mate, boy done us proud at a young age in a difficult situation but he’s not the best. Try and get him another loan where he might get picked up at a decent level

 

Sorry wasn't clear. I was agreeing another loan is the next step. Was just trying to be more positive about him.

 

I was speaking to a guy yesterday who knows his dad. We were chatting about the role luck plays in young players getting scouted. Adam and his dad were at the park just hitting shots (had never played for a team). A kids tournament was going on at the same time, one team was a player short and coach asked if he wanted a game. Celtic scout at the tournament spotted him - right place, right time.

So basically our youth scouting methodology aligns closely with the first-teams.

 

Not just that, in making a career. Kieran Tierney was left behind the youth team going to a European Youth CL game - because he was deemed not good enough at the time. Was one of the only spares around Lennoxtown, got invited into First team training to make up numbers because he was the only * spare.

And he * bossed it. Took that chance. Never went back to the youths, stayed in the main squad. Then injuries got him into the team, and he took that majorly as well. Absolutely bossing Van Persie in the first couple games of his career

 

There is a lot of talk Motherwell want him and I could see that as they have been playing a right back at left wing back most of the season.

 

Loan or a permanent deal? Wouldn’t be opposed to either.

 

I think it’s a loan but I have no idea to be honest.
