To be fair when he said that Mathews had justran the length of the pitch for commons to * the return ball up so he probably was looking a little jaded.

I totally agree. Matthews has been just brilliant so quickly since coming over. I guess having Joe Ledley around probably helped him settle in but the lad is only 20 what a player he could develop into. Very much the starter for me for me at right back at this point. Obviously we have not seen Lustig play yet but he does come with a good rep as well. You would have to think that both Cha and Wilson will likely move on during the summer given both are out of contract in the summer. It will be particuarly sad to see Wilson leave but it seems likely now.

He just keeps getting better! i think he will go to a top 4 side in England soon, maybe in the summer, i honestly think he is amazing.. and for him being so young! lenny has done great in getting him. 1 of the best right backs i have seen for years.

Was thinking that myself. He got very involved early on in the game and had a great night up and down the right.

It would be a shame to see him be replaced by Lustig. But if Lustigs even better than Matthews, there's no problem. He's deserved the first pick as RB currently though.

i dont get the hype. dont get me wrong, i like the kids but people but i sometimes think im watching a different player from you guys.

he never goes up for a header, dont think he has great positioning but good thing he has good recovery speed. going forward he is nothing special, crossing is poor and his passing is nothing special, infact he gives it away alot.

i honestly think cha offers more to the team, wilson is probably better than both anf i have no idea how good lustig is.

Cha IMO isn't very good. He's not very good at reading the game and stands still a lot of the time. Sure, he's got the pace in him but we need more than that.

Matthews has been doing great, especially for what age he is. I think he does well passing, can beat guys and is the exact type of RB we need at the moment.

:56: If you think Matthews crossing is poor what does that make Cha's? Cha is honestly one of the worst defenders I have ever seen. Matthew is our best right back by a mile; he's a good defender, has good pace, is a good dribbler, is a decent crosser. Wilson is decent but nowhere near Matthews ability imo and to say Cha offers more is laughable.

Matthews is our best right back by a distance, then it is Wilson. Based on the fact I've never seen Lustig play. For me Matthews is most definately our number 1 RB, if Lustig is close to Matthews current ability then we will have two seriously good players on our hand ready to fight it out to become number one

i agree cha's crossing is worse but he gets forward better and in better positions, links up with the wingers better. defensively not as good as matthews not by much and atleast cha can head a ball or atleast tries to.
cha really isnt as bad as people make out.

Matthews can also play further up the pitch as well, even RW, so say Forrest or someone was injured, I bet Matthews could play that position pretty well, giving Lustig RB. We'll need to see Lustig in action first though to find out more about him.

You must be pretty hard to please, he's been one of our best, most consistent performers all season

Cha does get into good positions but his crossing is so poor that it doesn't matter, being generous he hits a good cross one out of every ten times he tries. On the other hand Matthews crossing isn't great but he puts in quite a few decent balls and is a much better defender than Cha. I also think Matthews links much better with Forrest than Cha does, Cha is constantly taking away Forrest's space by running into it, that would be fine if Forrrest was a different kind of player but Forrest needs all the space he can get to try and run past his man. I'll agree with you that Matthews isn't a great header of the ball but thats not that big a deal imo, in Europe it might be but against standard spl teams his main duty is to stop other teams on the counter not to win headers in our box.
