Adam Idah

Did some digging to find a player who i think is far superior with about'ish the same market value as what Norwich believes Idah is worth. I don't know the player to well so correct me if im wrong.

Moise Kean played for PSG and performed quite well. Failed at Everton, and failed at Juve but has a decent record at several clubs. Before he failed at Juve his market value was 12m. I think that is a player who will go to a club our standard for around 7-8 mill and he is 24 years old italian international having scored 13 in 26 in a loan spell at PSG a couple of years ago. Im not saying we can attract him, which we maybe could to be honest if we can attract players like Edouard but it shows how crazy this price is for Idah.

I guess I was thinking more about how excited we were about him and obvious potential he had, I don't get same feeling from Idah.
Like most things, you only remember the good stuff and not the hangover!

Overall though, I'd like to see Celtic push for better than Kyogo rather than expensive back up to him that Idah would likely be.
We should be looking up to £12M for the right player.

We know exactly what we are getting with Idah, the manager wants him, player wants to come.
Surely there will be a compromise. All the players playing friendlies are just off on holiday now.
Celtic usually sigh players around my Birthday, so early July it is.

Fascinated to see what his fee will be. If we can get him for Oh money it'd be some business.

 

Moise Kean signed for Juve for 28m last season, he has played and scored in the Champions League, and he has won the Serie A a couple of times. Not to mention he would want at least 100k a week in wages.

Yeah it was a stupid comparison, but im still quite sure that Moise won't sell for more than 10 mill after having a terrible flop season. 15 at its peak. Maybe it just dont make sense how i am trying to compare it. Idah is a 4-5 million player tops. I think we could get much much better if we are about to spend 8-10 on a player.

 

Moise Kean would still go for 20m+ and would want upwards of 120k a week in wages. The comparison actually makes 8m for Idah sound like a decent price.

The real question over the Idah fee is whether we could use that money towards a singing fee and wages and tempt Kelechi Iheancho here. If there was a chance we could get him it would be much better value, but even as a free agent he's probably still outwith our budget.

Yep that's time to move on. Don't get it twisted, Idah is a good player that we all know that can do the job but the prices that been mentioned is just ridiculous and when you combine that with Norwich wanting time to assess him - nah move on.


Will always be thankful to Idah for his contribution this season but if the board get their finger out, it's not beyond the realms of possibility we could sign better.

 

Unless big man says to him listen gaffer am not interested in staying here I want to go to celtic agree a fee.

If not then we look for someone else.

Equally tho, even if player wants the move it's a Nowich decision.
