Adam Idah

that’s exactly who I was thinking of watching him glide about today and using his strength. Looked the part

I think we should sign him, we won’t get better than him for 5 mil and he already fits like a glove. He’s made a good impact

 

Would our chances of getting him improve if Norwich get promoted or not? Or would it make a difference ya reckon?

Side fact: Tavernier signed for rangers in 2015 when Adam Idah was 14 years old. Tavernier has played 9 seasons with the huns and is in their hall of fame. Adam Idah has been in Glasgow for 105 days and they have the same number of league winners medals

 

When can we start singing the “ooh ah it’s Idah! ooh ah it’s Idah”?

Last night's performance was one of his, if not the, best yet.

Still a few moments of showing his lack of experience, but they were far over passed by his moments of excellence.

If he plays like that, game after game after game, he's worth the money.

But he doesn't have that level of performance consistently enough and I don't think he will get to that level of consistency. I like him, he's done fantastically well for us. Still not sure worth the money.

As always, if he did sign fully time, backed and hope to be proven wrong.

But even if he doesn't, he's done well, done himself proud and thank you for his vital part in the league title.

Need to do it on a more consistent basis but I'm convinced now we should look to sign him. He has definitely earnt that right. Saved us big time this season

 

Brilliant last night. Played a massive part in us retaining the title and I'll be forever grateful for that whether we sign him or not.

 

Was all for him signing a few weeks back but went off him after his recent showings. But last night has changed my mind again. Sign him up.

Without him we don’t win the league probably. Scored some big goals to get us where we are now.

Kyogo, Idah and a new CF. Oh is clearly not fancied.

 

Still wonder if Idah is genuinely in contention or if was the stop gap until the summer where we try to sign the boy from Brondby again...Kvistgaarden.

Sign Idah and another.. would take Miovski

 

Hes got the size, pace, touch, skill and a decent instinct, he doesn't balloon every chance they all relatively get close unlike say OH who balloons everything.... plus only 23.. Big GG was 27 before he had a good season.

For £5m it's a no brainer imo.

 

A goal ever 65 minutes in the league.

We would be daft not to take him for 5 million. Do we have an option for 5 or could the price go up?

 

I'll take him as our 3rd option.

 

His play last night has been something we have been missing most of the year. Playing him vs Killie was a tactical adjustment Rodgers must have identified. In our build up when the centre backs or McGregor had the ball deep, Idah came short, back to goal and we played a vertical pass through the lines to him.

Idah then did one of two things, the first laid it of to one of Hatate or O’Riley who would be facing Killie’s goal and could drive forward or play a one or two touch forward pass. Or the other was he got turned or put the ball round the corner to Forrest or Maeda and got them 1v1 or in behind the Killie back line.

That tweak let us cut through them and their tactic of man to man marking and stopping our midfield 3 getting turned and running at them. Add in big CCV to eat up the long balls forward and it totally destroyed the narrative of not being able to play against their style.

 

Think it was just paper talk. In reality, they could easily price us out.

 

We aren't getting Idah and Miovski in my view. I think with Maeda as third option you only need 1 in and get better wingers in.

 

I think you definitely need 3 strikers, long season etc and all should be of a high calibre offering something different..

 

He has done well but I still think £5m is a lot of money for him. Miovski looks a far better option for me and would really push Kyogo. Also at 29, Miovski is the ideal age to be coming in.

In saying that, we have enough money to afford both.

 

So our choice is spending £5m on idah or miovski?

One is in our age bracket with potential big sell on.

One is 29 from Aberdeen and we will be his big payday.

I can see what one will be signed off on tbh. Big idah. Home he comes.

 

Miovski is just about to turn 25, not sure where you two are pulling he's 29 from, plenty of room for him to improve still.
