I really do appreciate the goals he's scored and the points he's earned for us.
But he's not the answer going forward.

If it's 2-3m and we get someone else in as well (assuming Oh is out in some form), then I may be okay with the signing.

But that's about the limit of signing him for me.

Miovski would be the better option and surely wouldn't cost as much as Idah would. Loan the sheep Oh for a year to sweeten that deal for them.

There's more potential there than I first thought.

However I wouldn't pay more than like £3.5m. His finishing in front of goal would concern me. He's good in the air though from an attacking sense.

Was just about to say before reading rhe second part of your post.

You put Miovski in out team and I think he flourishes tbh. He's scored 24 goals this season and consistently turns up in the big games.

Aye its why i'm leaning towards Miovski. I'd like to see what he can do with us. Also without sounding like a Dermot Desmond burner account, he'd probably cost less aswell than it would be to buy Idah.

Nah, that chance man was hilarious. Well it wasn't, but it would be if a professional footballer looked at it.

Even comparing him to Miovski is funny as. Not question his commitment, but he can be comical in front of goal sometimes.

Agreed. His work rate is decent as well. But £4m tops.

I was probably more in favour of signing him that Bernardo, especially for the rumoured fee of like £6m.

Through no fault of his own, because I do like him, I’d be giving Aberdeen whatever they wanted for Miovski right now and I was against it in January. His performance against CCV today has completely changed my mind.

    Missed a sitter.

Probably should have kept himself onside at the one he put into the net.

The one he was tackled he should have got the shot off earlier.

A poor first touch meant he was stretching and being tackled during another great chance.

I think he is a good player, but he was poor today. He missed too many huge chances.

Does some things well but looks like a donkey in equal measure at times.

Better than I expected and be happy to have him as 3rd choice striker, but we can and should get better.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by his impact but that sitter he missed is a stark reminder of why we shouldn’t pay over the odds for him. He is not the full package by any stretch.

I thought he was horrible today when he came on, done absolutely nothing right apart from his penalty in the shoot out.

He constantly chose the wrong option took too many touches on the ball, fluffed his lines in front of goals, was horribly out of position for the cross for his offside goal (finished that fine, right enough), couldn’t even shield the ball properly on to his stronger foot.

If we want a player who is more effective than Oh but likely to annoy the life out of you every second game, then Idah’s your man but for north of £6-7m I would be looking elsewhere.

Don’t get me wrong he has done very well for us with the goals he has scored but I am starting to think we need an upgrade up top. The wings certainly do.

I think everyone's being a bit harsh on him with the chance he had.

I thought it was played a fraction behind him.

    Either way, I'd sign him.

I'd sign him and Miovski. Especially if we can get both for £8m. Idah has 3 years left on his deal and Miovski has two. I'd walk away if Norwich want anything more than £4m. It'll probably take £5m for Miovski but I think he's worth it in today's market.

I think striking options of Kyogo, Idah and Miovski wins us a treble.

There's definitely a player somewhere in there, but also a numpty at times - can we get best out of him is question?

I'd like to see Idah and Kyogo together instead of persisting with consistently * wide players like Yang.
I think they'd combine well together, 1-2's in and around box, Idah holding up for Kyogo to feed off etc.

Think he's great tbh. Comes on and nearly always provides a goal. Great header. Shame he was 39 yards offside and never noticed :56:

I think it would be very haed to keep all 3 of them happy is the dilemma we will face. Or would face, rather.

Another loan with option is what I’d be trying to get. See if he improves and if so conclude the deal. In the meantime sign Miovski from Aberdeen and spread the outlay on strikers over 2 seasons.

Idah and Kyogo don’t strike me as the type that’d disrupt the dressing room or behind the scenes and not burst a gut to be first choice if they aren’t, and would be moved out if they can’t and are unhappy but won’t throw a strop. Miovski, * knows there, that’s a judgement call and one we’d need to weigh up. But we need 3 options there in my mind, so any player we get in we would need that judgement call.

If a player isn’t up for that challenge, then I would move on. Annoying in retrospect because what he’s turned into, but Ivan Toney’s interview saying he demanded a guaranteed 1st choice and we wouldn’t offer it and that’s why that move didn’t happen, and the same with the Huns who he talked to.

I agree with that, back your ability, make yourself first choice and you’ll be first choice. * guaranties.

    * wish we just said aye no bother mate now right enough but at that time, I wouldn’t trust that attitude coming in. If we want 3 quality options, then 2 need to be aware they need to prove themselves they’re the option. Something Kyogo’s just stepping up to the plate to make sure now with Idah’s form. GG should have came in as first choice more than once for him, Ange backed him regardless and got the best out of him making him repay that faith. But Ange had the right idea with how he approached guys, regardless of talent, they had to have the right mentality and desire. Idah has that I think, a 3rd option up front needs that as well. Just watching Miovski play, I think he has that. The only time he’s lost that was when Neil Warnock slaughtered him and he lost heart. He could cement first choice, so could Kyogo, Idah right now is making a good argument for himself that he can as well.

Kyogo’s better than both, Miovski for me is better than Idah. Idah’s proving on loan he can come in clutch as a Celtic striker thrives on that pressure playing for us. We should have that conversation in contract talks, but any guy we get in it’s a judgement call on attitude because any player we go for, we should be absolutely sure they have the ability to do it for us
