I still like him, but games like Yesterday's shows why talk of buying him is far too soon.

He's got the rest of the season to prove we should be buying him, but for now he's got to prove he's worth it, as he won't come cheap.

 

I don't agree, mate. It's just one bad performance. Look at it this way: if we took that approach with Scales, he and Nawrocki would have been constantly swapping places all season.

If it continues, then yeah, I agree.

 

Yesterday was his worst game by far. He’s a good player and would start him v St J again. Think Rodgers will put Kyogo in though which would be fair enough.

 

I don’t think so, Nawrocki hasn’t once outperformed him and they’re fighting for two positions. Kyogo’s position for me now.

 

But Scales has been quite inconsistent since late autumn. Idah, in contrast, has had a single bad game. I don't doubt that Kyogo is a much better player than Idah; but for me, we are currently a much better team with Idah playing and he has to start (whether alongside Kyogo or instead of him).

FWIW, I think Scales is our second best defender after CCV and I certainly wouldn't drop him for Nawrocki (I was calling for that earlier in the season; but I've changed my mind having see Nawrocki in action) and I'm also not arguing that Kyogo shouldn't play. I'm only arguing that Idah has to play at the moment.

 

Deserved to be a cult hero at the very least with that goal

 

Took the goal well and helped create a lot towards the end, should have squared that one to hand or maeda though when he had the chance and squandered it, would have had us 3-1 up and that would have broke their spirits

 

Took his goal well and has a few positive bits of play.

However he had an easy ball to square for another goal. He tried to do too much and cost us a goal.

 

Tbh he was miles better than Kyogo, who was utter garbage, wasted everything he got, shoulda done better with GT cross, and his link up play was useless, most defo 3 on 1 and he * it up.

 

I think if we held on today would've done a load for him going 4ward, I really like him , offers something different which we need at times, shouldve done better when squaring the pass , but think was stuck in 2 minds wether to smash it at goal

 

He's a decent player imo. One of the few bright spots in the 2nd half.

 

He definitely helped us get out second half. Some goal.

 

6 goals and 1 assist in 9 games now. He's done well for a back up striker.

 

100%. If he keeps it up we need to consider an enquiry.

 

He's done a turn for us and won us at least 4 points this season.

But I still wouldn't sign him.

Think the club/Rodgers will if the price is right. But anything over 5mill and they won't (and shouldn't). Can do better.

I canny tell you how mental I think it is you would sign Bernardo over Idah given when you compare the impact they've had. Not necessarily saying I would be signing either of them right enough

 

Not sure Norwich will sell him. Sargent will likely be off, Barnes is in his mid thirties and Rowe could be off too. Leaves them with no goalscorers and I doubt they sign SVH on a perm.

 

After that third.....92mins...lost the ball in their box when he should have squared it across the box. They went up and scored.


But....he did well when he came kn and scored a better.
