I doubt he’s ever felt unwanted.

My issue is if he put these performances in while Kyogo was here, it would of been far more impressive.

As soon as Kyogo was out the door Idah has been sensational, when we sign another striker I don’t want him to shell up again. He’s a totally different player, its great to see

Going by the highlights there he looks much more energised. Plenty of good movement and fkr his goal he played a blinder staying out wide and creating that space for what was a terrific finish.
Great to see confidence growing and looking to impose himself in the game. Was taking plenty of chances back to goal which is what we really need...especially come Tuesday.

Totally different player to what we saw during the first half of the season. Struggled massively playing second fiddle to Kyogo but has really come into his own these last few weeks, and the goals are coming for him too. That today was a striker full of confidence.

Was worried earlier in the season that he just wasn't good enough. Didn't think he had the attributes that many on here felt he did. Felt last season was just a bit of a purple patch and he was reverting to type.

Being proven wrong on a weekly basis now. Delighted for him and fair play, shoving it right down the throats of people like myself.

He's been excellent - wonder what his goals to minutes ratio is vs Kyogo - obviously a much smaller sample size.

The comments of him struggling whilst Kyogo was here are massively over stated. He had a decent start to the season despite getting a lot less minutes than Kyogo, chipping in with an almost equal number of goals in all competitions. Even during his spell of no goals he was still putting the work in, linking up play well, and dragging defenders out of position to help the team. Added to that the barren spell came about when we just weren’t creating many chances for Idah or Kyogo as a team. Many highlighted it at the time.

He's coming on to a game now as the first-choice striker with more minutes. But he was poor during the first half of the season and struggled being a back-up option.

Nope. After the first half of the season he and Kyogo were on 7 goals with Idah having played less than half the minutes of Kyogo. As a backup striker who mostly came on as a sub that was better than ‘poor’.

    Wondered this too.

Think for me we're definitely going to be switching up our forward areas later on in the game, especially if we're still well in the tie.

Think Idah might start and then use Daizen through the middle later on to exploit any tiredness. But it's Bayern Munich we're talking about. Not expecting them to be all that nakard after an hour in a UCL knock-out game.

He's a big lad, John Hartson like, needs minutes in his legs.
He will get better and sharper the more he starts games, He wasn't getting that when Kyogo was here, and was being judged on twenty minutes here and there, that's impossible for a guy of his physical stature

Should be aiming to finish season as top scorer in league.. said it at the time thought we needed to go a step back (in not spending to replace kyogo in the winter) to move two forward from the summer (hopefully giving idah consistent run of minutes in the team for sustained period)

    Cracking finish..

Unlucky really no to bag the match ball..

Good header down from close range that was probably more of a brilliant reaction save (although no seen any replays). Also a couple around the 6 yard box from low crosses that he just couldn't find the target with..

Nice link up play and definitely using his body far better..

The only criticism and I know he's a different type of striker, but I want him pressing more. I'm no asking for Maeda or Kyogo levels but a bit more in that regards. On Wednesday there was times when the press was on and he was kinda half arsing it in a jog..

If he can add a couple more bits to his all round game, we've got some player..

    Massively improved though..

Was absolutely thrilled for him when that goal went in, he really put in a shift, had a few chances and was looking like it was not going to be his day then bang.

What a finish that was too today. Once again showing us what a top drawer finisher he is and as others have said above is now starting to develop his all round game to.
