Just rewatched the highlights and honestly because how mental the game was at that point, didn’t realise just how * quality the two finishes actually were. First for him to react that quickly, acrobatic as * and made sure of the contract to bury it. And his second up against a massive and quality keeper, that we’ve seen in WC Final spread himself big enough to basically win the game for them, he just lifts it over him. It was sheer quality.

Considering a couple weeks ago he missed the ball completely looking at the keeper too much rushing out, amazing to see

 

As a retrospective opinion its an absolutely valid point. It can't be stated as fact though,as many seem to do. It relies on an imaginary set of circumstances, the very definition of hypothetical. That was the original point I was making.

 

I agree I don't think he suits a game against a parked bus in a congested penalty box. Seems to do better in the bigger games that are more open.

 

More performances like that last night would do nicely. I know there is the different style of play etc but just his overall approach, he was far more aggressive than he has been of late, trying to get across his man and letting them know they were in a game.

 

Showed why we paid the money we did last night.

like some have said it’s hard playing against teams who park the bus but playing to his strengths and he will bang them in.

First one showed great instincts and agility. Second one was brilliant movement and a very composed finish to lift it over the keeper and high into the net from.so close in.

We really ought to be doing more and more of the play we saw for his goals. Get it wide, doon the channels and fire that baw in. Instead of trying to thread a needle.

I kept an eye on him and other than his runs to the by-line, the bag man 'plays between the posts'. Proper striker * that. Brilliant.

I'm saying all this with my hands held high with a humble pie in my gob.

finishing has never been a problem for him creating the chances is the bother ,hatate was brilliant last night we need far more attacking intent to get the best from the strikers

 

There’s no denying he was on a bit of a goal drought. But he only had 6 starts in that time. 11 goals for the season. 3 in the CL and played a big part in the goal that put us through last week. He’ll gain plenty confidence from that last night too so expecting him to kick on big time now from Sunday onwards. Probably payed his fee back making that well timed run last Wednesday.

 

Last night has fully justified his price tag. Like I said before he has the attributes, Tall, Powerful, Fast, Decent skill & can finish. Buying a player of that profile from the English market can be extremely expensive. I'm happy for him as a lot of us me included we're starting to doubt the signing.

 

Brilliant that he got two goals. Hopefully he kicks on from here.

He was excellent last season. There was a point where many wanted him to start ahead of Kyogo. Don’t know why his form dipped but there’s a player in there. One with some physicality which we lack. Two great finishes. Jota, KT and Kuhn getting decent balls in to him should be fun

 

Well i was half right to be fair

 

I've always quite liked him, he links play well and is clever deeper and then he has scored plenty of goals when playing as well.

When we brought him in last year if someone said to you over the next year this guy will only start 20 games but have 19 goals we'd have been delighted.

Especially when you think of the goals, doubles away to Motherwell and Hibs in vital games in the League, one at Ibrox that ended in a result where we had the League in our own hands, a winner against the huns in the Scottish Cup final and 3 in the CL, plus even hit the shot that won the Young Boys game and probably earned us about £8million.

 

4 goals out of 8 games in his debut cl campaign …
