Great run, poor finish - he had to clip it - but we got the luck we deserved. Hopefully this spurs him on and restores some confidence. Go on son!

Really want him to kick on.

IF kyogo is going he has a huge chance to show he's our main man.

Tbf if you watch it again you'll see the defender trips him a bit before Idah takes the shot so he does well to steady himself and get the shot away.

Fair enough. A more accomplished finisher slots it but I’m not complaining, trust me :yeah: More power to the boy!

Adam Idah has vowed Celtic won't settle for reaching the knockout play-off round of the Champions League.

The striker climbed off the bench to play a major role in the crucial winner over Young Boys as his saved shot rebounded off Loris Benito and into the empty net.

Now, Idah has insisted he is dreaming big in the Champions League as he backed Celtic to keep impressing in Europe this season.

"I think we can go far," he said on TNT Sports. "I think we have got a great squad. We have gone this far, why not dream big?

"We have been fantastic over the season, we want to go to the top and these are the stages you have to do it on.

"We'll go as far as we can.

"It's amazing. This feeling is indescribable. This is where we wanted to get to, we've been great all this season throughout this campaign. We have got here now and it's time to push on."

Idah's strike came after a frustrating evening as dominance didn't result in a comfortable result with three goals ruled out for offside and a penalty saved in the first half.

The Republic of Ireland internationalist couldn't believe what he was watching but was thrilled to make a telling impact even if his "lucky" finish was snatched from him by UEFA statisticians.

"It was quite frustrating," he said of the first-half. "To be fair to the boys, in the first half they played brilliantly. I think the boys were confident going into the half having them goals disallowed.

"Any time I come on the manager just says, 'Do your thing, be yourself'. These are the games I want to play in and have an impact in. Credit to the gaffer, he is unbelievable with me. He lets me be myself.

"What a pass from Reo [Hatate]. The ball he played through was fantastic, I got a bit lucky but we'll take it. I haven't scored in a while. I said to the boys, 'I don't care that is my goal! Hopefully, it gets me on a run

Showed great strength and determination to get ahead of the defender and get the shot away while being nudged. Delighted he got his moment. Hopefully kicks on

Would we have got a penalty if it didn’t go in I felt he was fouled as he was about to pull the trigger

Pretty sure Bernardo gets the rebound too, if defender hadn't knocked it in...

Like the attitude, from both himself and Rodgers, on his current form... Just keep going, trying, plugging away... Hopefully it'll come good for him!

Looked buzzing in his interview afterwards. I definitely think he's lacking confidence so even though it was an OG if it helps boost him going forward then * it, hopefully he goes on a run now.

Needs to show the same passion in every game now, he’s played within himself for a good few months now.

So it's been known for months that Kyogo wants out, and yet Idah's not been starting. That must have been affecting his confidence
