Slow, lethargic with poor first touch and his body language giving impression he is giving 80%.
Needs to a major kick up the *.

It’s pretty tough for him cause he’s coming in then on the bench for the next 5 or 6 but when he does get an opportunity he has to be a lot, lot better than that. Had his best game in a Celtic jersey there last season and probably his worst today.

Wanted him to start today, but he looked like Carlton Cole.

    Honking today

I'd blame the pitch for most things and to be honest I'm just glad to get the three points and no injuries when we go there.

But he was actually very poor today. Consider the end of season performance he put in on that pitch, this is partly why I consider the 9m too much for him.

This was always gonna be the case, hot and cold and not enough consistency at that price tag.

Happy he is here, expect him to get better, but we got taken for mugs with how we handled that summer window in regards the idah price tag.

Think I'd be calling up Daniel Cummings and having him on the bench alongside Idah as competition. Needs to up his game and show same hunger and desire as last season.

That Depeche Mode when we score!!
He has a lot to prove and big improvements to be made. And hopefully he will do a fair bit of business this season for us.We shall see.

Same issue we've had for a number of years. You can't give Ur 2nd choice striker 20 odd mins each week and then throw him in from start and expect him to be up to speed.

Should have started more games than he has considering he's level on goals, despite far less game time, with Kyogo who's not exactly been great this season either.

Isn't it kind of telling that the manager who brought him in on loan and convinced the board to spent £9m on him, one of our biggest ever fees, hasn't seen fit to start him? I'm inclined to think it's more on Idah himself than a lack of game time. Look how much McCowan has shown with limited minutes.

Looks half hearted when he plays, doesn't show the same energy or passion as most of the other players in the team. I hope he snaps out of it otherwise he's not going to last long here.

I wouldn't say McCowan has had limited minutes, he's made 17 appearances and has played 940 minutes. Kyogo by comparison has played 1018 minutes in 16 appearances. Idah has made 16 appearances but only has 556 minutes. The only game in which Idah played the full match was against Falkirk.

    Goals scored
    Kyogo - 6
    Idah - 5

For further comparison McGregor has 1425 minutes. Schmeichel has 1620 minutes.

Was hardly getting much service and getting balls rattled into him on this * pitch.

He will be fine. He’s shown plenty in the last 11 months to see that. But aye if a game isn’t going our way for once for 45 minutes then our whole team is *. Even though the same people would’ve been saying we are amazing a few days ago and will be again if we beat Hearts away.

He'll definitely bang them in, but the difference between him and Kyogo just for all round and general play is night and day.

I can't see him ever seriously challenging for a starting spot and on the flip side he's not gonna improve by primarily being a sub/rotation player either.

Still relatively early days though so all this talk may well turn out to be premature, look at Kuhn.

Mostly makes impact from bench. Just felt today, especially first half, he was so isolated, we kept playing the ball to him but nobody got close to him and he had little option except to pass back to where it came from.
Nice lay off to Khun for what should have been a goal.

Yeah that's true, but that's several more games in which to get up to speed and look sharp. Idah's total also includes 29 minutes played for Norwich.

If he had the toenails of a hun, he'd been on the scoresheet the day.

Honking pitch that'll affected his touch no doubt. But he needs to be far more consistent after the international break. We need him of the Festive period on form.
