Some really good runs, plenty of bad touches. Needs to up it.

He doesn't look close to being match fit yet. Understandable I guess if he hasn't been playing much preseason but hope he is sharper next week.

For the money I think we could have got better , I’ll back him but as people have said some of the goals last season papered over the fact he was fairly average in most games.

Fair enough, I misread that. I agree - he did play a major part in it and I really hope he comes good for the money spent, but he needs to step up. I am happy with him being signed by the way, but I do think we got blinkers on him and Norwich rinsed us a bit.

I don't disagree with that, but that's fully on the board for not having a proper plan of getting him in, I think we overpaid by a couple of million.

Either way, as long as we still have Kyogo, I think we can be patient with Idah, he's not the finished article but he has a lot of promise, and even then I don't think he's 100% match fit yet.

Clear to see he’s behind his team mates in terms of match fitness, some of his movement was excellent though.

I'm with you and sentinel here, we've over paid for sure and I think most would agree with that.

    Norwich rinsed us for sure.

But he's here and after last half season with us, he deserves to be.

If he bags 15 goals this season, then 20+ next season, the investment will pay for itself if he wants a move - if he wants to continue to stay and signs an extension, then we end up with 4+ years of him banging goals in and he's paid for himself again.

The only way this * us in the face is if we see him completely flop and be a dud. Which I don't think he will be - that risk is there til otherwise.

He is still clearly a bit rusty. The protracted transfer meant he didn't really benefit from much gametime, so getting an hour today was good, but he is still a bit short of a gallop at this stage.

I worry that he's not rusty, but simply *, and that he had a wee purple patch at the end of last season, couple of goals against the huns and a good game against Kilmarnock.

    Hope I'm wrong.

It's impossible to say what kind of value we achieved for him at this stage.

He's played maybe less than 90 minutes of football with us this season. Few folk need to chill...

Double against Hibs, double against Motherwell, scored at Ibrox, won us the cup, was MOTM to clinch the league. Without him there was no double last season.

Wee purple patch is an absolutely mental take.

Haven't watched a fair amount of him id think what we saw today was his level vs rustiness. The important thing is Rodgers wanted him and he has pedigree in developing players he takes a shine to..we didn't pay 8/9 mill for the idah we saw in the cup semi v Aberdeen or today. We paid the money because idah has all the raw attributes for Rodgers to turn him in to a real handful

As I said, I hope I'm wrong, but how rusty do you need to be to not be able to control a ball or hit a shot with your left foot?

To be fair though, Kyogo has had plenty of games where he's been * and we know how good he is.

Has great movement. A couple goals and he'll fly.

Not controlling a ball or sclaffing a left foot shot once doesn’t make a player *.

I'll give him some more time before making any conclusions
