Big fan of him. I think he’s quality and he’s still only 23. I think if we had signed him from Italy or something people would be a lot more excited about him. “Benchwarmer for Norwich” is still what some people think when they hear his name I feel. Guy proved he’s a winner last season. Excited to see him back in the hoops. Could be a big player for us in Europe.

There were a few times last season where his decision making was brutal , that was severely letting him down . If Rodgers can coach him better in that regard , then I'll be happy enough.

 

Hopefully it doesn't drag much longer..

Would be delighted to get him in, he gives us a different option.. the way he absolutely bullied the Killie defence when we clinched the league sealed it for me..

He's young and still needs to work on aspects of his game but Rodgers excels at player development.

We knew what his wages were and have done for long long time.

The fact this has not been sorted yet is farcical but in keeping with how Celtic operate I suppose.

 

If he could play to that standard every week, he'll become one of our best strikers in recent times. He obviously has it in him, hopefully with more games it becomes the norm for him.

 

That’s clearly not what I meant

If we had signed him from Bologna and he was their starting striker, people would be a lot more positive about him in general. People are pretty positive about him anyway (hard not to be after what he did for us last season), but if he was signed under those circumstances as opposed to a “Norwich benchwarmer” people would be talking about him much differently. Some people just can’t get this idea out of their heads that he’s a Championship reject, which isn’t even true.
