    Dunno how credible it is buy I read that Verona offered €3.5m option in summer and Norwich rejected as they value him considerably higher. So just having a guess I’m going to say they value him around €5-6m. Will we pay that in summer? Or are we just taking this guy for 5 months thinking it would shut the fans up for a bit because he’s Irish?

    Agreed but we signed Phillips on an emergency loan.

    The same way we did with Bain a few years ago. I’m not saying he’s a good signing but adding more context. Not many players were going to come here on an emergency loan.

    As things stand he,s rubbish,frustrating to watch as he seems to be one of these players that strolls round the pitch without a care in the world.

    On a positive note(if there is one)hes young enough,will have the hunger to proof himself and there is the potential there for him to devlope into something decent.

    Overall its not what any of us want and if it happens its a real kick in the balls for us fans,being from Ireland i would really like to see him do well in his career but as a celtic fan its a dissapointing addition if it happens.

    I thjnk everyone would love to see him prove * wrong.

    The fact he is a target is the issue. It sums up our recruitment and level of ambition.

    Nothing against him. Hope he proves us wrong, but it's again a sign of what we are up against with this board and recruitment team.

    I've also seen this movie too many times before. We sign someone with a disappointing record or underwhelming career beforehand > people then put it aside and try to get themselves excited > ends up being * and a waste of time as expected.

    So excuse my pessimism. The signs on paper aren't good
