Not happy with this but slightly different take on it 2 teams from a better league were in for him so is he as bad as made out?

Played alot internationally and 6 goals in 27 this season but are we overreacting to it slightly as it’s a bad window?

I think so. It’s not the worst signing in the world. It at least gives us pace and power that Rodgers has been banging on about. He’s a talented boy, just hasn’t really managed to impose himself on games as much as he probably should have.

He’s only 22 and has a lot of experience and is having a decent season. I don’t think Norwich want rid of him.. I think he has been pushing for a move away. Norwich fans aren’t too happy to be losing him but aren’t too fussed since SVH is replacing him.

Time will tell. If the window up to now hadn’t been so shambolic I think the reaction wouldn’t have been so poor

this is all coming from someone who reacted terribly when the news broke. I’m coming around to it a bit.

17 career goals. We don’t need any more projects. We need proven quality. Rodgers is calling for it, our club captain is calling for it. These * come up with Adam Idah. We are a disgrace. I hope Rodgers tells them to * ram it the day after the window closes.

 

I’m not trying to make out he’s brilliant mate. His goal scoring record is shocking. This season he’s scored 6 from 28 which isn’t awful. It’s been a goal every 213 mins. My point is he’s 22 and hasn’t finished developing. His physicality can be useful like Burke’s was, even though he ultimately turned out to be *.

I’m not happy clapping, far from it. The windows been a disaster. But if we get Idah in and a left back of a decent standard it’s passable and might be enough to win us the league.

Mind Rodgers' last January window when we brought in Oli Burke and Timo Weah on loan? Aye, that.

So * scunnered by everything around the club just now. It's obviously not all Rodgers' fault, the board are a * shambles, but I just knew everything was going to become so * negative if he came back.

 

The negativity stems from the pish poor recruitment both last summer and this window. That’s down to the bean counters that run us.

Know basically nothing about him but if you're taking a punt on someone I'd rather it was a loan who had decent experience in the Championship and 20 odd international caps than dishing out 5 year deals to guys who have barely a season or two of regular football under their belt.

Plenty of young strikers who also play wide, especially in Championship, have had breakout seasons after slow starts. You're not expecting big numbers from mostly sub appearances and if he had then he wouldn't be coming to us on loan. People would have scoffed at Olly Watkins 20 in 100 or whatever before he had 1 good season and went for £25m.

Not comparing him to Watkins or trying to be a happy clapper. It's an appalling window and an odd signing but on paper it's hardly the worst move we've made in recent years. It feels worse because of the lack of other business.
