That just leads to more questions though. What are his tactics? We're noticeably worse to watch, slower, passive and disorganised. Are we gambling on taking steps backwards in hope that we can propel to something greater? Isn't a soft reset from a position of strength a waste? If we already have a winning team and want to build upon it, was our identification of a manager poor by going for someone who needs to tear up those foundations and take time to rebuild, instead of going for a similar minded coach to Ange (like Knutsen)?

Stuttering performance, but a win was the aim.
Not many teams will go up there and come away with 3 points.

That was all on CCV, shows he’s rusty.

Nah, was scandalous how Nawrocki didn't track his man.

That’s the nature of football mate… managers play a certain way or like certain players/dislike others. We canny be expecting an ange clone every manager we get. Give Brendan time to get his own players in and all will be well

Got to be pleased with that result, even if the performance still looked a bit disjointed and rusty.

3pts away to a sheep team flying and well up for it is all you can ask for. We need a goalie and a left back this window though for sure.

    As for the back line

    Ralston was better today
    Welsh done alright
    Nawrocki was decent
    Taylor was poor
Hart got away with that lad being offside and a slack pass in the 1st half, but started coming off his line more
CCV for their goal? Maybe a lack of understanding with his new partner?

    Positives:
    • 3 points on the board
    • Another solid performance from Rocky
    • Good cameos from Yang, Holm and Welsh
    Negatives:
    • More injuries to key players
    • Defence still looking ropey at times, Taylor looking very exposed now he's back out at a more standard LB role
    • Wasteful with a few chances to make it more comfortable

I don’t think Rodgers will keep Welsh, Scales or Kobayashi to be honest. So 4th will be needed especially if CCV is out for long. It’s not a priority though just being greedy.

Job done and that will be pivotal if the league comes down to fine margins so got to be pleased with that and the way we shuffled the pack being down to the bare bones a bit, hopefully get some reinforcements in now!

Did you not see CCV getting stuck as the ball got played down the outside???? Aye he should have got in but it’s all on CCV.

You know Ange lost his first 3 away games right?

The * hysteria on here is laughable.

I dont know if it's a fitness and awareness thing. To me there is a severe lack of conviction and precision with passing and shape that ange had nailed down and drilled in..
Dont know if there is still a bit of nervousness within this transition phase bit think Rodgers has maybe taken small elements of anges style and merged with his own but some of these guys are either not getting it, not focused enough, or simply not good enough

2 weeks of the window and we need at least2 first team ready players....left back defo being 1.

Hatate was dropped by him anyway, so that's entirely Rodgers' fault if the negative impact was from that. CCV played the full County game and we saw the same problems then as today. I'm sorry but this style of play is going to be boring as * after what we experienced the past couple of years

I slated Taylor at the start, sang his praises and put my hands up. However, today was genuinely one of the worst performances I’ve seen from a professional footballer at any level. Absolutely horrendous. That performance was guilty of gross misconduct in any other normal job.

    LB priority
    CM needed
Winger needed (Abada doesn’t cut it)

great 3 points and we looked a real threat every time we got into the final third.. they won midfield battle today which is extremely concerning

Suppose for the club trained it would make sense but he got caught out a few times.
