Hope Hatate starts. O'Riley-Turnbull are skilful players, but they aren't explosive/mobile enough to press the ball when we lose possession. We could have a use for Hatate's work rate. McGregor cannot run for 3 players. Personally, I'd bench O'Riley, but that's just me. I doubt Rodgers will bench him after his impressive individual performance against Ross County. I'd also consider starting Yang at RW, but Abada seems like a safer choice (assuming he's 100% healthy). In any case, I have high hopes for Yang. Him and Haksa may be our most creative wingers. Difference is, Young is also quick whereas Haksa is fairly lethargic, especially for a winger.

Very harsh on O'Riley, but got a feeling Hatate will have a point to prove, and hard to drop Turnbull after last week.

 

I think O'Riley played better than Turnbull last week, although Matt scored one and David scored two.

But your right that Brendan won't drop Turnbull this week, I think he hopes he will sign a new deal, with just a year left and potentially seen as a solid squad player due to being Scottish trained, it wouldn't be in his interest to drop Turnbull after his performance last week, sending out a message saying your not good enough even after getting a couple goals.

Plus with uncertainty surrounding Hatate future over the next 3 weeks, a focused Turnbull is whats required.

Be same again for me, but I wouldn't complain if we started Iwata over Ralston

Genuinely dreading this, will be shocked if we come away with 3 points. We’re weaker than last season and they’ll be right up for this.

 

If we were to drop the 3 points it will only aggrivate the situation with the support of lack of first team signings for the defence as we know for a while now a goalkeeper is a must and a left back also and the club haven't done anything about it with 3 weeks to the transfer window closes.

 

I'm buzzing for it, think we'll surprise a few people and tank them.

(Either way, one of us is likely to be getting quoted come Sunday afternoon lol)

I think we get the same line up as last week. Maybe Hatate in for Turnbull or O'Riley but I don't see other changes.

Aye Hatate will be in. Turnbull carries a great goal threat but our football is far better with Hatate in there next to O’Reilly.

 

Are we weaker than last season? Ok Jota has gone, but if he'd been injured or suspended last season and we'd went with Abada and Maeda would you be wetting the bed ?
We also have Yang and although it's early days he looks decent.
In defence Nawrocki seems a decent replacement for Starfelt, for domestic games at least. Whilst it would have been nice to have Starfelt aswell, we still have more options for back up than we had last season.

Going into a CL game with Scales Kobi and Welsh would concern me, but not against even a top Scottish side.

Would prefer to have AJ back, but happy with Iwata and Ralston as back up

Oh is a loss up front but Maeda could move central in an emergency.

So whilst I'm not saying everything is great, and I do hope some more quality will be coming in, I still think we can be optimistic about Sunday.

We've also got Turnbull who looks like a player reborn and Odin looks good.

I would like to see Hatate back in. But if I'm Turnbull I'd be thinking "what the * do I need to do ?"

Same goes for MOR. Love Hattate, but I don't think he deserves to start at moment
