A super performance, especially in the first half. Took foot off gas in second, allowed Aberdeen back in a little, but that's to be expected after being 3-0 up at half time.

And what about Donati in defence eh? Looked very comfortable, I think Donati will become very important, a player that could potentially fit in very well all over the park.

It's clear Fortun'e is not a goalscorer, but I was very impressed by him, great link up play, bringing players into attack, he looks a quality addition. No doubt Uncle Tim Murdo will be in the papers on Monday bemoaning the fact he didn't score, though.

Fantastic brace from McGeady. I've thought for a long time all he lacked was more goals, if he can add that this year we are in for a real treat.

Can't fault the team at all today. Hinkel was impressive again, N'Guemo looks great every time I watch him, Sammy was sharp when he came on, Killen looks eager to continue his pre season run when given the chance.

It's looking good folks, I hope Maloney is OK for Arsenal.

    Hail Hail!

Great start to the season the 1st half display was was like a breath of fresh air after the lacklustre displays last season. McGeady was outstanding closely followed by Hinkel,Donati,Fox,Maloney. If we keep this level of performance up we are in for a very enjoyable season. :50:

Obviously we took our foot off the gas with the game won and Arsenal on the horizon but if that first half performance is anything to go by we're on to something special!!

I think the way Fotune plays it allows the wide men to be more creative, and then also allows the fullbacks to come up and support. If he keeps playing like he does, setting up goals and allowing the wide men to play more free and creativley, I won't care to much about lack of goals as the amount he creates for Mcdonald should more than make up for it.

Killen was the top scorer pre season ffs you idiot. And McGeady scored twice as many today than McDonald

Didn't catch the whole game unfortunately, but its always good to have a good opener to the season like that. who got man of the match, does anybody know(sorry if its been posted- couldnt be assed looking through 32 posts). Shame the falkirk couldn't handle the huns.

Good 3 points at a ground where the Huns will struggle.

Excellent fisrst half, and understandably eased off in the second half.

    Could have won 8-1

    Hail Hail :icon_mrgreen:
