Oh so I see the narrative spin for this week from the rangers fans via the Scottish media is about Abada being offside for the third goal when he is not.

No coincidence indeed. Again that was great character not just to score that third goal but to get it right away like that and then make it stick as the winner. Plenty of whining about our third goal although Abada looked onside anyway. Nothing said about Starfelt been blocked off for their first goal or even worse Jota been called back for offside in the first when he was onside and in completely free 1v1 with the keeper. Sunday was vintage tonight that was character and grit but you need to have both to win titles and that was a big 3 points tonight.

Both those Aberdeen goals were well taken. Our last goal was tremendous, Jota is very clever in kicking the ball into the ground ahead of the keeper to score.

O'Riley has a very good left foot. I thought Ferguson was very effective against us.

Sill need to keep teams out and not concede goals. So glad we had no injuries.

Excellent. Game was as tough as I thoughtt it would be in the end. Was surprised we went 2-0, maybe a bit of luck in that but thought we would walk in from there tbh. Big 3 points.

    * pundits are thick as *.

Abada was walking back from an office position...jota was on.
Did abada really interfere with play? No. Even if on an onside position he would still block the sheepshagging *

Full steam ahead to the title lads

I love the fallout over this Abada being offside.

You'd never know that we had a goal ruled out that was deemed offside that was actually onside.

    Aberdeen were hard done by.

Tbf he probably was. But where were these huns when we scored a goal away to Hearts on the opening day of the season? It all evens out, doesn't it? Not really.

Jota wasn't offside in the first half though.

And Bates should've seen a red card for his challenge on Abada. Remember, Porteous got sent off against the huns when he didn't even make contact? Bates could've broken Abada's leg.

    Just watched the highlights.

Hart needs to marshal his defence.

Ferguson scored from their free kick, but Taylor was marking him. Talk about the short and the tall here.

Ralston was marking the short Belgian player but Taylor should have been on him. Ralston or Starfelt should have been on Ferguson.

I noticed CCV with Brown. I did question that thinking he should've been marking Ferguson.

I don't know how to solve that though - do you mark your man and keep your formation or do you jumble up the back line and go with the man?

Good nervy win - it is a trend at the minute but least the harder part is somewhat sorted.
The next few games should ease up, a chance to regroup, get players some game time.. im thinking jullien especially.
A european game in which bodo glimt sold a lot of players so do the damage in the first leg.

The darkside play 2 hard games against a german side with haaland back into the fry so maybe tiredness and injuries will hurt them.

At this stage between when we next play them fingers crossed we build up a 4 point cushion - every game is a cup final and win at all costs.

Things we all want to see:
defend better from crosses and set pieces - hart has been fantastic but from crosses and corners is always his biggest weakness so we need a good line to defend - i think getting jullien back will add some height and protection and compete with starfelt

score more from free kicks, corners and attacking set pieces - sometimes they can be the big difference to open or seal a game

    get kygogo back soon as.

but considering the games we screwed up before christmas - silly dropped points - dundee utd, liviingston (pen), raith rovers we need to learn from these and put teams to the sword and dont let them back into the game.

next few weeks make things easy and play with the levels we expect.

fingers crossed we get some lady luck in other results too

It’s the same as the Hearts game earlier in the season. The reality is we should be 3-0 up in the game last night ruled out for nothing. The freekick for their first goal is a joke you don’t get advantage to the point of an attempt on goal then pull it back. They then got a serious of very soft, non foul free kicks.

Also the fact Abada looks onside and makes no attempt to play the ball, he’s not offside. This interfering with play, Bates runs in to him, Abada doesn’t step across him or anything.

This is all building to a total howler against us in the coming weeks which will be justified by you had those ones.

Best defence in the league is what he's been doing. As Madrid, barca in there prime knew, other teams sometimes scored. Its what you do after that counts.

100% we'll be punished in the future for this, despite the punishments we've had handed out to us over the season.

Aberdeen were hard done by though. Lols

It is utterly ridiculous just saw a bit in the Scotsman, calling Abada’s role a block he doesn’t move, he doesn’t try impede anyone and then it says he was offside which from the pictures you can see the right back plays him on.

It then goes on to claim Jota’s disallowed goal and was too poorly covered to make a decision on either way and you can’t compare them. Yeah you can’t compare them as Jota’s goal there is no foul or offside and it’s a perfectly good goal, just like Maeda’s at the weekend when Beaton Giakoumakis who didn’t even foul the boy another perfectly good goal ruled out.

Jota’s winner has absolutely nothing wrong with it, Abada is onside and does nothing other than stand still. Meanwhile they get another soft penalty and nothing is made of it.
