Big game to get out the road. Can rest plenty at the weekend as well.

    Bain
    Ralston Jullien Welsh Scales
    McCarthy
    Rogic Bitton
    Forrest Giakoumakis Johnston

Something like that should be enough to bet Raith Rovers.

Grand old team to play for
The sooner we get Julien back up to speed, the better. Think he'll improve our set piece defending.

Not a criticism mate, just a reminder not to take our food of the gas and our eye off the ball so to speak. The team has been playing superb but we need to stop giving teams a possible route back into games.

The first half was comfortable but I didn’t think we were that good even then. Our two goals were pretty flukey and we weren't creating as many clear cut chances as we have been recently. Our touches just looked heavier and sloppier all game.

Definitely our toughest game in a while. We need to improve in the physical side of the game more. Aberdeen made that a scrap and nearly came away with something because we weren't up to it. Ange was dodgy as well tonight.

Relieved to get the three points though

Bbcs match report is dreadful, refering to the winner as "controversial", "contentious" and saying we are getting luck which is why we are top. Also Bonner loves to tow the company line, absolute soup taker.

    Thank * for that man.

The media will go on about our winner but if the officials were doing their job we'd have been through for 3-0 and at least Bates would've been sent off, the same player Aberdeen/the media are whinging about Abada interfering with for the winner.

We could've done better 2nd half and need to improve but that was a * massive result, can focus on cup comps for the next 8 days then full focus on the league until the international break.

    But to come away from

    Hearts (A)
    Dundee Utd (H)
    Zombies (H)
    Motherwell (A)
    Aberdeen (A)

with 15 points from 15 is some going considering the players missing through injury/international duty.

And we've still got Turnbull and Kyogo to come back. We can do this. :ange:

Feel as if as great as we’re talking about our midfield players as ball players which there is no doubt they are, we need someone to get in about in midfield to win tackles when things get physical which I suppose McCarthy was bought for

In terms of the physical side of things it is difficult.

We have a small side and a lot of our players are technically strong but won't be physically so. We cant expect guys like Abada for instance to get stuck in. Ralston, CCV probably the only ones I would fancy to get stuck in consistently.

However I agree that we do need to be more aggressive. It's finding a balance. For me that last 15-20 mins suited James McCarthy. It was scrappy, backs against the wall.

Agree mate, wasn’t pretty tonight but mental think people a wee bit * off with 3 points at pittodrie, a place 3 weeks ago your main rival s went 3 weeks ago and were lucky to escape with a point, knew it wouldn’t be easy and I knew we weren’t just going to keep pumping teams 3 and 4 and 5-0 , so I’m absolutely delighted with the win tonight, even in the invincible season we drew with teams like partick thistle at home Motherwell away impossible to keep that up aw the team even great teams like Bayern Munich, Man City slip up or just scrape by teams that on paper they should pump ,

Embarrassing. No word of Jota's goal first half ruled out for Ramsay falling over or Collum pulling it back for a supposed handball after playing advantage second half. Not to mention that Abada actually looked onside for our third. Get it up them, all the sweeter when we win the title.

    Was our winner a "favor"?

Did we deserve the 3 points?

Geez that was hard to watch. From the outset I thought we looked quite flat, even though we went 2-0 up.
We showed a lot of character to get the win tonight. Big 3 points that and a good lesson.

Aberdeen is never easy mate, getting 3 points from there is always massive. It’s great to play great football and win 2/3-0, up there but it’s really quite rare, very hard place to go to and the 3 points is always only what matters going up there.

The reaction after their second goal is what it’s all about. Great game? Not really…but finding a way to win in these games is 3/4 the battle. It’s no coincidence that we’ve pulled a result out the * in a quite a few games this season. This side is learning how to win again, and won’t stop or lay down.
The best part is we know how much improvement is in this side.
