Thought he was brilliant when he came on, every pass is a positive one and he rarely loses the ball.

Huge upgrade on Bitton btw, which is obviously what he was signed for.

I think he could be valuable in controlling the pace of the game so that the team isn't gassed at 50 minutes in games like this where the opposition controls possession.

For a supposedly slow player he has this frequent knack of accelerating for half an instant to win space for his pass. Sucks the marker in then finds the man in space - pretty much every time.

He finds space and the pass the same way McGregor does. * wish he was just that wee bit more mobile.

People keep saying that but the ball always seems to find him. And he always gets his pass away.

He was good and kept things settled when he came on.

But we do need to bring in a couple more quality midfielders in January if we are still in Europe. Mooy is good for bringing on to see out games but not convinced he is a good option for when we are chasing games. With how good we have been I'll be honest and say I don't think we have missed Rogic as much as most of us feared we would, but it hit home not having him as an option last night when we badly needed a bit of magic or even just some composure in front of goal to get us back into it 0-1 or even 0-2.

Pushing McGregor forward for Mooy McGregor so late in the game when he is knackered is not ideal.

Mooy is class. Have no problem with Ange starting him and can give Calmac a rest. He can ping a ball over the top aswell which is always a nice weapon to have in the midfield armoury.

He done well but there’s a noticeable slower play with him in midfield, takes a few extra touches and fairly one footed.

Reckon the big Dane will be our go to for Europe, looks more mobile.

I think Mooy will see a lot of game time post the next international break. Particularly if we get a positive result next week against Shakhtar.

In the second round of fixtures we will play a lot of teams that come to Celtic Park and just sit in like Ross County, St Johnstone, St Mirren and DUTD where they play to be solid and deep and I think this is ideal for Mooy as he has the range of passing and vision to pick teams off and react to runs and movement from our players.

Thought he was excellent when he came on. Definitely not out of place at that level. Will be a very effective player for us, cool as ye like.

Yes that’s why I said in the comment you quoted he finds the space and the pass? It’s literally what I said :56:

How many goals have we scored with him on the pitch?

I don’t think he did anything out of the ordinary last night. Nowhere near as inventive or meddling as Hatate and O’Riley.

Honestly, we are a better team with him on the field.
