A successor for Cal

One of the main failings of the Ange era was not to secure a young Scottish player capable of taking over as captain.

We need someone that can be what McGregor was to Brown. I think Rodgers gets that more than Ange and that's why we're seeing guys like McCowan brought in and links with players like Miller.

It's not an easy position to fill. We effectively need someone who understands the game up here, who is good enough to break into the team in the near future, who will be undroppable by the time Callum hangs up his boots, and who is enough of a Celtic man not to leave for down south.

It's a tall order but now is the time to bring in the candidates, both from other teams and from the youth team.
