Last year the only problem i had with lennon was he didnt pick stokes enough in the OF games barr that i usually agreed with his tactics and it was the players fault last year why we didnt win the league imo, oh and the refs had their influence in it aswell something which thanks to lennon we'll see less of this season hopefully .

I wish i could have your confidence & if we do win it ill be the first to celebrate..i was standin today outside the ground when Neil got off the team bus & i cheered the man as loudly as anyone else there... despite my own reservations of him as manager... i usually love getting proved right on matters (when it rarely happens) .. but when it comes to Celtic all that goes out the window us winning is what matters there.
id love nothing more than Lenny (& johan & thommo) to deliver us back to the top where we belong...but ive not felt it since day 1 & nothing is changing there

This may sound like a "sitting on the fence" type of comment. But..
It does seem like a Cult, for sure, "we are all Neil Lennon", its pretty idiotic to even say that. As much as i respect Lennon and im happy hes our manager and i DO have faith in his ability to lead the club forward...he seems like a right *. And when people talk about him..its like they are talking about Vladimir Lenin. For those people who say all this stuff when we are winning and are calling for his head right now. You look like douches. But this whole "is it a cult ?" thing doesnt have anything to do with how hes performing. and how is he peforming ?

I think some people who are saying he isnt the man for the job after todays result is really harsh. Sure , im * about the result...but we have 3 of our key players out, we were playing midweek and to be honest...we didnt look arsed at all today. Think the players are at fault for today rather than Lennon. And i think the draw with Sion just sums up how * the standard of Scottish football is. The bad thing is...we have a tough set of games..and we will probably drop a few points and the media is going to tear us apart...and with regards to the game on Thursday , im predict to get gubbed 3-0/4-0 ...And Lennons probably going to be all like "i need to get people out..take people in". The guy buys so much in the transfer market...and has so many average players not doing anything on the sidelines. i * hate the filth at the other end of Glasgow...but the way they can put in Youth players and have them playing well ...why dont we try that ??? that sounds better than spending money and when people get injured we dont * ourselves in front of goal

If there is any sign of a 'cult' devloping then it certainly wasn't started or promoted by Neil Lennon himself. Think we should just let the man do his job, realise his mistakes, move on from then and we continue to support him during it. He seems like the perfect man for us and I won't fall into thinking I support him because he's a 'Celtic man' or because he gets it up Huns. I support him because he's a leader and a winner who I believe will lead my team to glory.

After calming down a bit i see this as one last kick up the *, Ok first off am a Lennon fan and as much as his tactics have been off in the past few games i don't care if we had 5 players out our team should have beaten St.Johnstone today easily but football can be a funny game and taking nothing away from St.Johnstone they deserved to beat us and they did i never thought i would be typing that but hey.

I was going to start a thread about it but it's just one question i thought about today after watching the Man City v Bolton game i thought to myself thank * we were not up against Dzeko Silva and Aguero but secondly seen some great spirit from Bolton and Owen Coyle screaming getting the team to attack and i fancy him to do really well with Bolton this season and play some nice football so anyway long story short..

How many of you if you had the chance now would swap Neil Lennon with Owen Coyle ?

This is just a random question by the way before the can do no wrong brigade come and speak about how i shouldn't talk bad about Lennon and the club etc.

Owen Coyle left Burnley high and dry and left them to get relegated..think hes a good manager and i would of liked him but Lennon wouldn't do that coz he lives and breathes the club...and thats a good thing to have

I definitely think the idea of a "Lennon cult", formed amongst a section of the support is right. There seems to be far too much of the, "one of us" mentality, and I think it is clouding people's judgements and vision.

As much as I like the guy, I don't believe he has got what it takes to manage a club like ours. His is the Board's cheapest option and that's what matters, unfortunately.

Whilst I don't expect us to win every single game, I would have thought beating the likes of St Johnstone wasn't demanding too much of this team.

Well these people need to stop seeing criticism from our own support of Lennons decision making as an attack on our club.. thats all ill say on that!

Maybe not but it's not like it's a regular occurance getting beat of St Johnstone. Every team has freak results. He was unbeaten at Ibrox last season and gave 3 wins and 2 away draws against them. I'd say he has what it takes.

Totally agree, even Mjailby said "the board took a gamble because we were the cheapest option".

I support him because he is the manager, and also because he wears his heart on his sleeve, but ultimately it is not enough.I am a fan of NL, but i am definitely not one of those that see him as the Messiah.I dont even think he has the whole season left necessarily.....if he was 6 or 7 or more points behind by Xmas.....i dont want him to be the one deciding who we buy as emergency cover in the January sales.I dont really believe we will be behind...never mind by that margin, but if we are, thats it for me.Im not the first person to say it...no-one is bigger than the club.Passion for the club is almost irrelevant compared to ability, even though some in here think the opposite. If he loses his job, he will become a fan again and we will move on and we will love him again as a legendary Celt, regardless of his success or failure as a manager. His place in Celtic folklore is assured no matter what.

Re- the Catholic Irish bit......gutted so many have thumbed up that comment.Considering in a poll of fans in here, less than 50% said they believed in *, never mind the Catholic religion, i think it is very unhelpful to propagate those kind of thoughts.A backward thinking comment for me.

    I'm not picky.
Well, considering he's only been manager since end of March last year then it WON'T be because of his managerial achievements. And it won't be either if the doom-and-gloomists get their way either.

What he has had to do and contend with since taking over has been pretty remarkable in my eyes especially since the pressure has been on him since the day he took charge.

Lennon wasn't my choice for manager, he wasn't my first choice, second or third even because he is a novice who ain't got the experience to manage a great club like ourselves, didn't we learn our lesson with John Barnes ? I actually think the worse thing that ever happened was Lennon winning that last game against Rangers the year before last, because it fooled a lot of Celtic fans into thinking Lennon was made for the job, that was a game Rangers could afford to lose and they still went on to win the league.

I really wanted Craig Levein, still do, Christ I would even take Martin O'Neil back instead.

i like lenny personally , hes made some astute sighnings , however has failed so far to capitalise on last year and is holding onto to many duds ....unfortunatley this club needs to perform in europe in order to make any sort of cash to finance sighnings., we should be beating teams like sion and st.jonstone...i hope results dont come back to haunt us as they have in previous seasons

I think he needs to win the league in order to keep his job this season.
