Hope we can sign a couple more decent players whilst getting rid of some more deadwood by Monday to allow new signings to play in the play offs.

If flying Palestinian flags got us into trouble we should take it all the way to the European Court of Human Rights.

There will be Palestinian flags aplenty. Naive to think there's a chance that won't happen.

Just hope it doesn't impact any freedom's afforded to the GB/ standing section in the future.

Would be a shame to waste such a positive development for the atmosphere to make a statement.

    In Israel?

Its about fan safety. The actions of a few dont represent that of the collective whole.

Negative piblicity isnt going to do us any favours. It would be a different ball game over there. the police wont be as diplomatic as they are here.

Finished watching 1st half of Hapoel @ Olympiakos. Easy to see how it finished 0-0. Pretty sure Hapoel didn't have one shot in the half. Olympiakos something like 4. Neither team offering much going forward.

In the previous round, they needed a 90th minute penalty to win 3-2 over Sheriff Tiraspol at home, after a 0-0 in Moldova. Tiraspol had a man sent off in the 26th minute when they had a 1-0 lead. Hapoel were given 3 penalties in the match, 2 of which they scored. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_CXuvCQank

UEFA Club Rankings (for whatever they're worth)
    27 - Olympiakos
    46 - Celtic
    134 - FC Sheriff
    284 - Hapoel Beer Sheva

The more I look at them, really should handle this tie, but we're not in the habit of winning comfortably these days.

    UEFA Club Coefficient Points

    Celtic

    12/13 13/14 14/15 15/16 16/17 TOTAL
    16.860 6.650 7.800 3.600 0.425 35.335

So, uh, we really need to stop * around this year and get into the Champions League. As you can see, the lion's share of our points are about to fall off our tally. Last year was pathetic. It's 4 points for CL group stage participation, 2 for Europa.
