The draw for the 3rd Round is tomorrow at 11am UK time. If we get through, we will face one of the following:

Winner of Qarabag (Azerbaijan) vs Dudelange (Luxembourg) - 2-0
Winner of Rosenborg (Norway) vs Norrkopping (Sweden) - 3-1
Winner of Zalgrius Vilnius (Lithuania) vs Astana (Kazakhstan) - 0-0
    Astra Giurgiu (Romania)
Winner of Hapoel Be'er Sheva (Israel) vs Sheriff Tiraspol (Moldova) - 3-2
Winner of Valletta (Malta) vs Red Star Belgrade (Serbia) - 1-2
Winner of Dinamo Tbilisi (Georgia) vs Alashkert (Armenia) - 2-0
Winner of Dundalk (Ireland) vs FH (Iceland) - 1-1
Winner of Olimpija Ljubljana (Slovenia) vs Trencin (Slovakia) - 3-4
Winner of Partizani Tirana (Albania) vs Ferencvaros (Hungary) - 1-1

In brackets at the end of each line is the score of the tie after the first leg. A lot of far-flung destinations in there, doesn't look likely that we'll get anywhere close to home.

Some tough looking ties in there, wouldn't fancie Qarabag again. Also was it not Norrkopping people were desperate to avoid in the round we are in? And they got pumped at home off Rosenborg who St Johnstone put out of Europe a couple of seasons ago? Assuming they must have improved since then.

Really don't want Red Star or Rosenborg they would cause us a fair few probs although theres a fair few sides there that could give us a headache. Saying all that even after we lost to red gimps the other day we should be disposing of any team here.

Some hard ties there surely to * we'll bring in a few good players before the next round. Theres no way brendan came here without assurances about his budget. Centre half, defensive mid and left winger are a must.

Rosenborg are a decent team. Norrkopping don't really have the experience.

Olimpija, who we beat in preseason, were 4-0 down at home to Trencin after 32 minutes, but recovered to make it "only" 3-4 in the end.

I think the fact that I looked at this list and saw DANGER EVERYWHERE says it all about my confidence in this Celtic side.

As long as we pump those Red Imps, who've been crowing since they won the freak game of the century, I will be happy whatever happens. The team is not good enough for European competition anyway. Efe Ambrose and Scotty Brown are still lining up for this Celtic team... and until we get shot of both and replace them with quality, I don't expect any European progress at all.

While we are at it, get rid of Forrest, GMS, Janko, Bitton, and * Lustig too, and buy some good players, please Daddy Lawell

if Dembele was/is our top target he wont make one difference to us getting through these qualifers no matter who we play, when he is playing with the same core of shitebags, that hide when we go a goal down to anyone

They improved that much in a couple of years? Quite surprised. These teams always seem to go round in cycles whilst we just continue to decline.

getting harder every year, can only be a matter of time before our coefficient goes down to the Maltese level and we never get past the 1st round, with the current skin flints running the club
