The new employment figures show that Britain has record high employment.

I wonder if the Conservative & Unionist party shall see the benefits come next month.

Propoganda was something used by the no campaign into scaremongering the old about the risk of their pensions and NHS, Yes campaign didn't shove their opinion down others throats and since there was a vast number already wanting independence. I guarantee you if we had a referendum tomorrow it would be yes for independence, I know and saw a lot of people saying they regret voting no after the lies by Labour. You are blind if you think Labour never lied, they done * all for Scotland but try and keep us tied to the UK so they can milking our oil money.
The yes campaign put forward a possible plan which the people could vote on when we got independence, the No campaign promised devolution and we got the square root of * all, a slap in the face.

The majority voted no am not jaded about anything, it's the fact you're spouting regurgitate newspaper bullshit.

How can you say the vast number wanted independence when it was only sitting at 25% 18 months before the referendum? Evidently, the proportion of people didn't want independence in 2012/13. You will at least admit that, yes? You never had it for it to be taken away from you. You only thought you had it.

Where did I say nobody lied? You're imagining things that I didn't say; I'm saying EVERYONE lied. I just want to know, why is lie for separatism morally better than a lie to stay united?

Are you seriously suggesting that there was no propaganda by the separatists? Their propaganda was very powerful. But again, how does that make you better? You still use propaganda and fear. It was said that the Conservatives would destroy Holyrood if it was a no vote - lie. It was said that Scotland never had any democratic voice - lie. It was said that the NHS would be dismantled through privatization and (TTIP)- fear and lies. There's secret oil well of the west of Shetland - conspiratorial lies. The English have moved the international water boundary so that if they get a greater share of the North Sea oil - an amazing lie. We will not have austerity in Scotland - lie! The oil will pay for everything - lie! Westminster has stolen £220 billion from Scotland - lie. The list is huge. Surely you see this propaganda? In fact, the separatist propaganda was more powerful than the unite propaganda, particularly online.

You're getting devolution. Be patient. Do you need things right away? Are you a child?

And what lies by Labour? Tell me them.

I always keep an open mind and definitely could be swayed by any party willing to make, what I see as, the right choices.

But you my friend, sound like a brainwashed loonball.

I said a vast number of people not majority and whats 18 months before got to do with it?

Okay then but you asked about the labour lies when then the list is endless.

In 1999 the water border was moved by Tony Blair & co to cut large part of oil & gas fields to the English water border. The NHS is in major doubt, beds are being cut everywhere in town I live with 5000+ people we will be going down to 10 beds, 1 sunshine room (for terminally ill) and 4 in a&e, that is * ridiculous and they have staff shortages. Oil has kept the UK economy from going completely bust, they never had a long term plan to save the money in case recession or something happened, had decades to do that but they continually spent it all. Spending Billions on Trident which we don't * need and makes SCOTLAND the target for a nuclear strike, that is not a deterrent.
    Nhs is safe with UK-lie
    Pensions are safe with UK-lie
    Scotland will get major devolution-lie
Independent scotland wont get in the Eu-lie
We will have to go on the Euro-lie
Scotland won't get the pound-lie, if Scotland gave up the GBP the UK would loose Billions.

Devolution is a * Myth, considering they set a Date for it and failed to deliver and hope we will just forget!

In an earlier post , someone wrongly claimed that we are all U.K. Citizens . Can I just remind my fellow Forum users that as we have no written constitution , and an unelected Head of State , we are in fact Subjects . We have no rights . If you think that what I have said is incorrect , then here's a challenge for you . Go into your local Library ( if you still have one ) and ask to see/borrow a copy of the U. K. Constitution .
Apologies to any folk on here who are Citizens of their respective states .

Still * off that no party seems truly committed in tackling student poverty. Scrapping student loans is all well and good however it's not enough.

I would seriously propose that if you work a full time course you should get full time pay atleast in line with the min wage. How i'd make this work is ban young people collecting JSA until they spent at least a year at college under the scheme.

I find it shameful that we give more to people with no ambition who are just looking to get on the ladder at any point, whereas we shun people trying to make their life better by completing a course to hopefully start a career.

This could be funded by decreasing or removing non essential foriegn aid packages. Do India and Nigeria really require 400 million pounds a year from us in foriegn aid today?

This will tackle student poverty and youth unemployment levels. Simple

We don't need to pay tuition fees which is great, giving us pay on top of that won't happen, no chance. SAAS are quite good that you only have to start paying once you start earning a certain wage. What they should do is create affordable accomodation, I stayed in a box room only big enough to fit a bed, desk and sink then sharing toilets and shower with 20 other folk in the halls and they charged £120 per week. I'm lucky since I'm sponsored and get paid so I don't know what it's like having to live off a loan and work part time thankfully.

There are plenty of part time jobs people can get while doing Uni/College, it's the only option really unless family helps out with money or you get sponsored.
My issue is too many people exploit the no tuition and get a big loan then don't turn up to classes and get pished every week * away a great opportunity.
The amount of people that come out of uni with qualifications then end up working in supermarkets is ridiculous.

People who are more than happy to take benefits from 18 and work the occasional 6 months here or there, with no real desire to begin a career

True however do we want our Doctors of tomorrow working 30 odd hours a week in uni and instead of getting some much require rest they need to work an extra 20 hours just to get by, hardly fair is it.

Pay students their dues and give them a pay that is representatives to the time they put in

Aye so * like jim murphy can spend 9 years at uni getting a wage and leaving with * all to show for it but money.

Uni would just get filled up with people not wanting to find a job and people that want to learn and better them self wouldn't be able to find placements.

    Would never work.
