Terrible night for the Left in England absolutely wiped out. Five more years of these scumbags:31: Great for the rich but everyone else is screwed especially the poor.

I voted SNP and this is nothing more than a thought but did the prospect of a SNP/Labour coalition push a large amount of UKIP/Labour votes in England to Tory to ensure that did not happen.

The tories were ALWAYS going to win.

The simple fact that Scotland has become an SNP stronghold can only be seen as a victory for this country.

a majority of only 3 or 4 is no good enough for them folks , remember they have scores of absolute loonies on their back benches . they could barely get most of them to vote for them last term without bribes , sweetners and threats of violence on occasion. secondly in the lifetime of a parliament a few aul codgers will snuff it and governments don't win bye-elections, so sit back and watch the tories fight over Europe , immigration and all the while 56 nats toeing them in the bawz at every chance ..... hob * anyone?

Your thought is actually a fact.

Which is why the Union is officially finished.
