Hopefully that Montenegrin team will somehow knock Qarabag out

Can't believe Ludogorets are gone, I had them as the best team bar us playing this round.

I could be wrong but from a financial perspective we probably should be steamrolling these teams, however football isn't that simple benefica are probably wondering how we manage to finish ahead of them in the group stage 3 times in a row, not sure if they are financial superior to us but they certainly have a much better pool of players to pick from in portugal and south america

They play Skenderbeu in the next round too. Which means one of Milsami Orhei and Skenderbeu will be in the Play Off rounds. I'd certainly take them in the draw!

Do we worry about Milsami Orhei now? :fear:

So Ludogorets were the only favourite to fall tonight. Ah well since the draw has been made it doesn't really matter now. We have to just focus on Rudar or Qarabag. Once we dispose of Stjarnan tomorrow that is

I also, but it will be very difficult... I'll write a short review of this game tomorrow. If Rudar somehow win, I'll cheer for Celtic in Montenegro :shamrock:

One. Since the next round usually comes straight after the one your in....

But assuming you mean the groups. This one vs Stjarnan. Then the next vs Rudar/Qarabag. Then the Playoff. So 3 ties altogether

Yeah my mistake, that's outrageous that a club as big as ours should need to play that many games

I'd rather have to play 3 than 2 tbh. But aye a club like us should have 1 qualifier max

Malmo playing Salzburg next so that's another tricky unseeded away imo.

Also Lech Poznan vs Basel which should see Poznan eliminated

So not that Im counting my chickens but that leaves our potential play off opponents as:

    Astana/Maribor/HJK
    Fola Esch/Dinamo Zagreb/Molde
    Videoton/TNS/BATE/Dundalk
    Midtjylland/APOEL
    Milsami Orhei/Skenderbeu

    Doesn't look as daunting now

Ludogrets going is still a good thing for us, even if they are one of the only 'big' sides to go at this stage tonight.

Just take it one step at a time from here. If we draw the Montenigrins and other results go our way like above I'd say we have a better chance of qualifying than usual. Not wanting Quarabag ideally. The travelling could * us.

Rather this than that other playoff route though that we've done once before when we got knocked out by Arsenal.

We'd just get rattled by Porto or Shahktar after no competitive pre season fixtures.

I do miss the days where we were straight in the groups in pot 3 mind you.

I'd say Maribor, Molde, BATE, Midtjylland and Skenderbeu would be most likely to progress. Skenderbeu or BATE would be an absolute dream draw for Celtic.
