I see where you made the mistake. Club coefficient uses previous 5 years plus 20% of the association coefficient, not national team.

Association is the key word there

When you think about it, the fact that we get four european spots doesn't help celtic. The association coefficient is then divided by four. Again it's not a huge hit.

 

There will be plenty of patients in the home crowd, I doubt they will be supportive though. :icon_mrgreen:

 

I hope the second leg is at Parkhead this time. I imagine the dates wont be finalised till after next weeks tie is over.

people never consider the fact that if the league was of a higher quality we might not win it, therefore we wouldn't be in the champions league anyway?

Also the top 15 countries all have teams that are ranked higher than celtic, including czecch republic, greece. aswell.

I agree that Doncaster needs hunted though, clown of a man.

 

Doncaster couldn't even find a sponsor for the league last year, surely that alone is a fireable offence. Then he tries to make it sound like he's pulled a rabbit out the hat by getting a betting company this year. Guys a tosspot.

Not going with Sky was disasterous.

 

Since we actually contribute more to European football than our other Scottish clubs maybe that should change.
Of the 20% of the National Association coefficient being distributed evenly, maybe it should be distributed on a Scottish ranking basis.
IE This season
Celtic gets 50% of the 20% National Association coefficient points
ICT gets 30% of the 20% National Association coefficient points
Aberdeen gets 15% of the 20% National Association coefficient points
St Johnstone gets 5% of the 20% National Association coefficient points

This might put us higher up the rankings as it would give us more coefficient points at the start.
Every little bit helps.
