Hexacampeão right there! Only thing I'd change would be Miranda for Henrique.

Ronaldinho has been poor this year. Done very little. His team Atlético Mineiro crashed out of the Libertadores a while ago and he did nothing in the game. He had one good season with them, when his was voted best player (Bola de Ouro) in the Brasileirão 2012 but since nothing.

It's not a bad team, it's quite a more hard working Brazilian team than you'd expect. I think some are underestimating the attacking threat that Neymar, Oscar and Paulinho will pose also.

Aye its quite a well rounded and solid team with good mobility and that but it's not a Real Brazil team. Thiago Silva is their only real world-class player. Neymar their best attacking player but he isnt a consistant performer, at the moment he is really no better than Pedro or Sanchez just with more flair and unpredictabiliy.

They are really relying on two very inconsistant players, 3 even if you include Hulk to win them games.

Looks like a good squad to me. Obviously not anything like previous Brazil squads but I think they'll reach the semis at least

First time since 1934 that the Seleção has had no players from a São Paulo state based team.

Jéfferson keeps the Botafogo of Rio World Cup tradition going. No team has had more players represent Brazil than them, with 47 players. Roma and Real Madrid remain the two teams from outside Brazil with the most Seleção members, 9 each.

    Júlio César
Alves - Thiago Silva - David Luiz - Marcelo
    Luiz Gustavo - Paulinho
    Hulk - Oscar - Neymar
    Fred

That is a good team. Luiz Gustavo is bit more defensive than Fernandinho so would start him first with Paulinho, to give cover but Fernandinho is a world class back up.

Youd imagine he would have been picked, probably had a better season than Oscar.

Some decent performers have been left out Rafinha, Miranda, Filipe Luis, Coutinho and also they could have took Lucas Moura although theres little between him and Willian.

I would have took Rafinha instead of Maicon, Maicon is past it. And if Alves was injured in a big match, atleast Rafinha is a fairly solid defender. Same with Filipe Luis, id rather have him playing in a big matches than Marcelo, never mind Maxwell. Henrique I dont know much about but Miranda could win the CL and Spanish League double.

I think this is the only mistake. Miranda is a much better player than Henrique is. Henrique isn't even a first choice centre back at Napoli, often being pushed out onto the right to make room for the better centre backs (and there is already better cover there in Maicon). Henrique has already talked about how nervous he is with the call up. Miranda has the perfect preparation for nervous, with the end of season he is having.

I think Miranda can join the likes of Dirceu Lopes and Arthur Friedenreich as greats/superb players to miss out on a World Cup they really should have been at.

I think the Brazil squad is pretty decent. I personally wiould not have taken Coutinho, nothing special really, a few decent games and he expects to go to the World Cup, come on. No doubt on his day, he is a very good attacking player, but I think they need more all round midfielders and thats what you get with William, Fernandino, Paulinho and Hernanes. They are hard working midfielders who will run all day if needed. Coutinho offers much less and Oscar is the obvious choice, since he has been around the squad and have a better understanding compared to Coutinho (who has nil)

Dunno why Jo got in there though, a decent season in Brail this year after many years of rubbish in Europe,. Surely Brazil has a better young striker they could have brought along...

Argentina....if not then Germany, the English hate both, so I'd be delighted if either of them win it.
