Another iconic 90's movie and has had a huge impact on visual effects ever since! Not bad for a sci-fi 'Alice in Wonderland!' Shame none of the sequels were anywhere near as good. But what else is new? lol

And there you have it. We are down to the Top 20! And what a Top 20 it is.

Every one of them deserves seeing at least once!

 

Funnily enough, I sat through that (Galaxy Quest) again at the weekend there, while was sorting all of this out, lol. No matter how many times, it's always a laugh.

 

This is a classic and I would advise everyone to try to see it

 

I had this as my number One because this Film has Outstanding entertainment and Action. And the way Val Kilmer plays Doc Holliday is Unreal!!

It took me quite a few years to get around to watching this movie. I remember one morning and the eggs we got literally had the Jurassic Park logo stamped on them, as part of their promotion for the movie. It not only turned me off the movie but even eating eggs for a while, lol.

But man, some seriously tense scenes in this one. The t-rex attack, the electric fence, Newman (from Seinfeld, lol) and that frilly neck one, the way they had talked up the raptors being so terrifying and smart, so when they get out, hunt down the hunter and that kitchen scene... all gave it incredible edge-of-the-seat, not wanting to watch and can't look away at the same time. Great story telling and superb direction from Spielberg, really was at the peak of his powers through this period of the mid-90s.

Seriously, it makes the way some of the sequels have played out seem all the more completely stupid in comparison, to the point we're supposed to believe that Chris Pratt has a raptor as a virtual pet/friend in these more recent ones. Insulting to intelligence.

 

...And so we have reached the Top 20!
