Hello Celtic supporters!
I am a member of the East German club FSV Zwickau which is currently running a virtual train trip through its own history (https://fsv-zwickau.de/index.php/verein/mit-dem-zug-durch-unsere-geschichte ) At each stop there will be a video about the match which interviews, pictures and videos. One purpose is to collect money for our third divison club during corona time, but beside that we are building up the first virtual club museum. As many clubs in former GDR, we are suffering from not having an own museum and most history is threatened to fade away.
One stop will be the quarter final 1975/76 of Celtic vs. Sachsenring Zwickau () which was the highlight of our history. While finding witnesses of those matches from Zwickau are easy to find, it would a fantastic to find people from Celtic side who have memories of those matches. As player, as supporter, as TV viewer, as steward... Are there even people who traveled to GDR?
I already found some pictures&co in your brilliant celticwiki http://www.thecelticwiki.com/page/1976-03-03:+Celtic+1-1+Sachsenring+Zwickau+ECWC+-+Pictures It would be awesome if you have any memories of those matches and are willing to share those with us.
Best regards from Zwickau!

Thank you all for your help. In the end, I found Gordon, who went to both matches.
Today our virtual train trip is on the way to Glasgow. There is a radio play straight out of the train which is partially in "english" ;) and Gordon tells us a bit about Celtic vs. Benfica in 1969. You find it here

Tomorrow we'll reach Glasgow and see how it was. Cheers.seamus1967, bkk bhoy, marti~bhoy and 1 other person like this. -

So, finally we are arriving in Glasgow. Here we go:
1976, in the quarterfinal Sachsenring faces Celtic FC and the Hoops «drew a Blank. » In contrast to the previous stops, we change the perspective now. Gordon was one of the few Bhoys who travelled from Glasgow to Zwickau and Roland Schulze takes us straight into the Sachsenring factory. And we solve the riddle of the kick-off time: Who was right, the Old Crock or Scholes?

Of course, all Celtic supporters are welcome to join our train. You might want to buy a ticket? We’re only halfway through the journey and we aren’t sold out yet!
